SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

No, lol. I'm dead certain. Here's the synopsis for Issue 3:

"As the civil war in Outworld rages on, Kotal Kahn suffers an unimaginable loss and enlists the power of the Kamidogu to avenge his fallen ally. But will blood magic make Kotal powerful enough to take down Outworld’s champion? Enter: Goro!"

Issue #3 is chapters 7-9. Kotal's guys are attacking in chapter 7. Kotal suffers a loss and goes up against Goro. Erron is one of the trusted warriors, as seen in chapter 4. The pieces all fit.

It doesn't have to be Erron, but Kotal's losing somebody.

So much for hoping to see Erron as a new playable character.

Kotal's been said to have an "unimaginable loss" and he takes on Goro to "avenge his fallen ally." Raiden's not going to interfere with anything.

And if Raiden interferes, will be because of the misuse of the Kamidogu, giving power to the mysterious "demon".

Everybody who has been an ally of Goro has failed

Those aren't his only two followers. He has Ferra/Torr, Reptile, and a lot of others, I'm sure. We have no idea who else could show up to serve as the sacrifice.

Have Ferra / Torr been confirmed to serve him, or is that just speculation?
They could also serve Mileena, if they haven't already been confirmed to serve Kotal.

Raiden's vision in the comic shows Ferra/Torr standing in the background behind Kotal along with whoever the mysterious ninja is. Personally, I think that's the death we need to look at. The concept is vastly different from an in game model of reptile. Although this could be the alt, I highly doubt it. I think the ninja is chameleon and he will probably be the ally which kotal loses.

Yeah, but it sounds like Ferra / Torr betray Kotal Kahn, at some point, according to the fight intro VS D'Vorah.
Maybe they go and backstab him by serving Mileena instead.

The Ninja in the comic has been confirmed as Reptile by the writer.

The fight intro never says that. D'Vorah just says that Ferra offends her. That's it. It's an excuse for them to fight.

I never said that it says that, but it just sounds like those 2 (technically 3) are at odds with each other with that intro, with D'Vorah replying "Exterminate."

What is she supposed to say? "How ya doin friend?" I bet she has heated words for her ally Kotal too.

Kotal is mixed in with Torr somehow. We have the intro dialogue where Kotal tells Ferra "I wish to restore you" after she says "You want to enslave us". That's way too specific to be generic pre fight banter.

That sounds like they are at odds with each other, though, IMO.
Sounds like Kotal Kahn wants to make peace with them, but Ferra is having none of that.

Gotta side with Commander on this. Also, the cell in the comic is a silhouette of ferra/torr. They could be walking away from Kotal not walking towards him.

I don't think they'd have been put in that panel at all if they weren't with him. The readers have no way of knowing that. Heck, there's another dialogue Ferra/Torr have with Kotal where Ferra talks about how they're the boss now. They definitely work for Kotal for at least some time.

...and that's where one of his guys dies.

"Trusted warriors." It's not looking good for Erron, lol.

I do not think this is the comics modus operandi.
When I try to analyze what they did so far, they are introducing new characters and mostly killing characters from the post mk3 games. So, my thinking is that the warrior which will die is not mr. Black, but someone else we already know which will appear only to die.

Thats a pretty big assumption. That panel isnt meant to do anything but pique your interest and give you a preview of the handful of upcoming plotlines. It distinctly shows three characters in the foreground facing you and the other in the background shrouded in darkness. The inference is pretty strong.

Yes, the inference that Ferra/Torr are with Kotal is pretty strong. I also really doubt that panel is going to be an exact scene from an upcoming issue; it's just a tease of Kotal and his forces in general, just like several of the other teasers are moreso for characters than events. The heart Kotal is eating more than likely no one important at all, and Kittelsen's said he hasn't even written Ferra/Torr yet.

Like, I'm not sure why Kotal eating the heart of an opponent after a battle, and the people around him being allies rather than enemies, is such a big assumption. Especially with all of the intro dialogue that's been mentioned.
