SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Quan Chi could trick Scorpion to think that Sub-Zero was the killer of his clan as well early on in the game before Scorpion finds out the truth. MKX supposed to happen right after MK9 left off and there's big time gaps as well. The comic is mention to take place 5 years after the NR invasion.
 
Could also be that Scorpion is talking to Bi Han directly. Bi Han is the one who murdered Hanzo Hasashi
 
Everytime we see a trailer we get too much excited to think on marketing (just like with "where have you been, Kung Lao?") techniques.

That intro of Scorpion and Sub-Zero is probally what concerns the time when he didn't know who was the killer of his family.

Sub-Zero probally excuses the Lin Kuei.

The Quan Chi intro ("you betrayed me Quan Chi") is for sure after the "innocence" dialogue with Sub-Zero.

It's like Scorpion's MK4 ending on many intros.

And seriously, I just hope Sub-Zero kills nobody and that intro is really about his family.
 
One thing to remember: these intros don't all take place at one specific point. They're meant to represent the story as a whole, especially with how it's going to be jumping around several years, so Scorpion's exchange with Sub-Zero about him being a murder could be meant to be from the very beginning of the timeline, when Hanzo still thought Bi Han to be his family's killer.

So, nobody thinks that maybe just maybe that intro is Kuai Liang proclaiming he and his brother's innocence?

A lot of people have come to the conclusion that Sub-Zero in the comic could very well be Kuai Liang.

The in game model means nothing to me honestly because NRS haven't revealed alts and they could say that this Sub-Zero represents the very beginning of the story or way late into the story. How can nobody think that maybe it's just happening like MK4 happened? I mean Scorpion even knows Quan betrayed him. Just like it happened originally.

Oh I forget Sub-Zero just looks sinister though, nevermind people are saying the exact same things about Kitana as well even saying it's Mileena in disguise.
 
Kotal Khan seems like he is a VERY important character in this story. So important that I wonder if he will be a sub boss.

Also I really hope we get to see how Mileena and Reiko got together and I hope they stay together. Tarkatan girls need lovin too lol

I'll be honest, I completely avoided this thread when part of issue 3 got leaked. So I don't know if you dudes already talked about this. But is this Jax's daughter?

I'm really hoping it is. God I'd be so amped for a new black chick in a fighting game. Hopefully she's on par or even better looking than KI's Maya
 
KI designers have been really good at designing female characters... NRS, sadly, is not. Kitana is a huge step in the right direction, but I fear she'll be awkward looking unmasked.

I think someone mentioned her name might be Gemini. Anyways, if shes anything like Jax, I dont want any black women in the game. Can we please get some African American characters that actually matter and not just there as the token characters? I think Cyrax may have been the only African American character in MK that did anything significant to the story.
 
I don't think she'll be as blatantly stereotypical as Jax. MKX is looking to be much more serious. I'm sure she'll have a little jive in her, but hopefully nothing too crazy.

How about we give the comic a chance to come out .They are building an interesting story with all of the characters .She's not going to just be thrown in there...

Btw is Liu kang the token asian character?

He was actually significant to the story. Shit the first 4 games were pretty much based around him and he was the hero.

What has Jax done in the entire series that was significant? I would say the most important thing he has done is defeat Motoro in Mortal Kombat Annihilation lol
 
It won't surprise me if the female fighter with Jax is Gemini. She has been known to help Jax out on missions. It would be cool to see her as a playable fighter and a real character for once.
 
So basically you're saying you hope they expand more on the character instead of just having them there ... But You just had to throw that "token black guy " under cut in there .
