SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Wait... there's people out there who think Drahmin is King Jerrod? I've NEVER heard that before.

I remember people on the old days of IGN had a few debates about it. I think MKO had one thread for it as well. I find the theory to be kinda silly. I rather have Ermac and Drahmin not be King Jerrod at all.

Yeah the Outworld invasion in MK9 caused a lot of destruction and left everything pretty messed up. The very start of MKX is shortly after MK9 so the damage could be from that.

If not, the Netherealm war or whoever is the final boss in MKX.

Earthrealm hasn't had an easy life in the MKverse!

Is it me or the writing on kung Laos clothing glowing?

I think it's the different look thing for the variations. The portuguese scan said that on Hat-Trick variation there's a shiny symbol on Kung Lao's clothes, this is probably it.
Same as Sub Zero having that shiny mask on unbreakable variation, or Quan Chi having those red light things on his neck as summoner.

You might be right that this was after the invasion, cause in another screen shot Kung Lao had a different hat & clothing .

I don't think so. My MK lore may be off, but I don't think Shao Kahn's invasion was world wide.
So this being in an Asia looking area makes me think this was caused by the Netherrealm War.

It's more likely it's related to the Netherrealm War, but I would find interesting in what concerns about MK9 events.

You know, this "we only invade US" is pretty nonsense coming from story writers.

Seriously, I think they are putting a lot of focus on Shinnok's invasion, my hopes of having MK4 events told in a good clear way may becoming fulfilled.

I kinda miss the sprite days just because Kung Lao looked better (IMO) when his face wasn't as visible (even though it was a headshot, the shading/compression made it harder to distinguish) circa MKII select screen. Just a badass. I got chills seeing the Raiden picture because it brought me back to how cool and full of mystique he was, opposed to the anger I had from seeing his older, normal guy-looking face in the reveal leak.

Same goes for Raiden, but we've seen his face so much I've stopped caring.

Yeah, I do think the variation that deals with his spinning attacks has some of his clothing lit up if I remember that correctly.

I'm liking that we're getting bits and pieces of new arenas. Definitely liking the variety we have here.

I'm not going to speculate what the heck that Kano image is, I'll just wait for the video, if we get any that is, for tomorrow. And I guess something with Goro?

I just want to look more at the arena that they just showed with Kung Lao and Raiden. That spot looks mighty interesting.

I love animated series and prefer them, but I'm in love with the design used on the comics.

They didn't just draw a character, a random ninja and the color.

No, they detailed everything. Even on Hanzo's family being killed they didn't put a different Sub-Zero (even the game did that), but they picked up a revisited version of MKM:SZ, look at the mask and to John Tobias sketches.

If they do an animated series with the quality of this comic (usually it's not, because it's harder), lol, I'll go crazy.

They did a good story with Dragon Ball Z (The Sabat and Shemel) version. I think that's Funimation, but not sure.

Also, DBZ was pretty much rated R with all the deaths and gore...

EDIT: This is a longshot, but what if this ties into Tekken somehow. Kung "Jin" and Kotal Kahn reminds me of Ancient Ogre.

What if Kotal Kahn is Onaga in disguise or something.

Would Kotal Kahn be against the Netherrealm?
