I'm not excited to see Goro's lame biography in MKX.

"blahblahblah comes along and magically gives Goro brand new arms!" Cue boring Kotal Kahn revenge story.


I knew I had to pay a price for having a playable Goro.
 
Kotal is a beast. If he is even half as good in the game as he is in the story, he might just be becoming my favorite MK character.

I think it's safe to say that Rain won't make it again, he have the same design from MK9 and probably died or just got real hurt.
 
Goro is half dragon, dragons are reptiles, some reptiles can regenerate part of their bodies.

He will probably not be in the game but that's not the reason.

1 - It has been confirmed he's not dead.
2 - Goro is armless and he's still in the game.

That is the most terrible idea ever.

He's not a god damn starfish. He's a Shokan!

And BTW...Dragons are not reptiles. Dragons are Dragons, and Dragons aren't real...
And Reptiles can't grow new legs and arms. Just new tails....And even then, the tail grows back weaker and smaller.

I'm aware of all of that. But this is fantasy man...

If biology can explain tail regeneration I believe fantasy can go a little further and add limb regeneration.

BTW dragons may not be real but they are still reptiles, mystical fantasy reptiles, but reptiles nonetheless.

Maybe Goro actually gets new arms. Ones that look completely different. This could explain why they've taken so long to show him off, one of his variations spoils the comic.

Where it has been confirmed?! I'm happy if it's really true. Rain will never be in a main roster, i thought this time he would, but it seems he'll miss it again.
 
Good god that would be the dumbest thing ever.

Why in the hell would he need new arms? There was no need to go the extra mile and rip off his arms.
It basically ruins his whole story in MKX.

Clearly he'll ally himself with whoever gives him new arms. Then he'll want his revenge with Kotal Kahn.
That's it. New arms and revenge.

And here I thought they might actually do Goro some justice this time around. But nope.
NRS has to fulfill their revenge fetish.

Again, it would just be stupid. He grows new arms? Id rather Quan Chi just bring his arms back from the dead.

Tail regeneration is a terrible excuse to give Goro new arms. It doesn't work like that at all.

Yeah where has it been confirmed that Rain isn't dead? I don't recall anything other than he's not a possible canidate for DLC again. That's literally the only thing I heard about him.

You have to admit, this is stupid. Id be fine with Goro getting his ass whooped. Just why the arms?

It opens the door to so many awful stories. I have yet to come up with a good way to give Goro new arms.
Everything sounds too cheesy and convenient.

"Oh look! Raidens coming to Goro's rescue! He even brought a new pair of arms!"
 
To be fair [MENTION=18074]Kickinwing420[/MENTION] Goro is a DLC character. I'm willing to bet they put him as DLC due to the events in the comic. NRS probably just thought "hey, it would be cool if our fans can play with him".

Remember, the DLC characters in MK9 had nothing to do with the story. Sure they had endings and a Bio but that was a "what if?" sorta thing.
 
I always knew Kotal was going to do it. You should have too.

He asked the Blood Gods to help him "Disarm" Goro. Goro doesn't have AK-47's, there were no weapons to take from him. He wanted to humiliate him.



Also lol [MENTION=2320]Reiko[/MENTION] fans who still think he's going to make it into the game. When Mileena finally finds out what he's up to?

Yeah I'm not gonna lie, with all the whining about characters that's been going on recently on this forum, I'm starting to hope the characters with the most whiny and excessively vocal fans (Tanya, Reiko, Rain) die in the comic.

Nah, they were more likely thinking "All the casuals were dying to play as Goro/Kintaro/Shao Kahn in MK9, so lets hold one hostage in order to get Pre-orders."

They didn't give us Goro just because it would be "cool". They did it because they thought Goro would get them the most pre-orders. Every casual fan who bought MK9 eventually looked up how to unlock Goro, only to find out he wasn't playable.

And the biography's may not have been 100% canon in MK9, but i'm willing to bet money that's going to change this time around.

Goro may even make an appearance in story. Goro's not just "DLC", he's pre-order DLC. They have the chance to implement him into the story. Just like how the klassic cosutmes were implemented into the story.

Kotal left him alive. Clearly "Goro lives" is a nod to this as well as MK1.
Goro lives and grows new arms. That's the way it's going to be.
