SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Yeah I fear Kotal is going to become a maniacal Blood God, where bloodshed needs to take place to fuel him.

If that happens it's a shame because that's another time NRS screwed with us so hard. First with humanity regained Scorpion, and now potentially this.

Those two monsters in the comics that we see Reiko and Kotal fighting looks nothing like a Xenomorph and Predator. I don't see it at all.

Uhh.. I never said that it did look like a Predator. Just that I wanted Predator in the game. Also...

How can you not see that this...

I hope that Kotal uses the power of the Kamidogu but becomes another puppet on the blood "demon"'s control, as someone who used its power but then comes back to normal.

Really want to see next chapter, but he indeed has a Blood God variation, maybe it will be something to be seen on game.

Anyway, I think all of this is happening before Cassie being kidnapped, and when he was going to confront Special Forces, he was on Sun God variation, then he probably was not under that control.

I think he did the same as Raiden, but for different reasons and effects.

Ok the monster in the cave i can see how at first glance how it can resemble a Xenomorph but it clearly isn't!

But on a second not, I hope that if it is any indication at all, I hope its a hint that the Predator will be in the game

Well it's obviously not an actual xenomorph, just something that inspired the comics guy.

But if we wanted to make things interesting I'd point out the aliens look slightly different based on the host species. There's the classic xenomorph that comes from human hosts, but we've also seen one come from a dog and another coming from a predator and they took some physical characteristics of the host.
The thing in the comic is what a xenomorph that came out of some big Outworld beast that looks like a T-Rex or something would look like.

Also, check out Kotal with a hole in his torso. He got caught by a facehugger, and just popped out a chestburster. :)

Nobody claimed it was a Xeno, just that it resembled one.

Are we all going to ignore how much that creature they fought in the cave looked like a Xenomorph from Alien?? It's a stretch, but I'm really hoping for the guests to be Alien and Predator.

My first thought when I saw that was Alien. Man, it would be awesome if the Xenomorph and Predator were in the game.

Looked like the two were in some Skyrim mission.

Ha. "Damnit Reiko, I told you to follow me."

Im not saying anyone claimed it was a Xenomorph. All i was saying, was that to me at first glance it looked like a monster in a cave, not a Xenomorph. But after looking at it for a few moments i can see why ppl stated it resembled a Xenomorph

^Chestburster yes! Haha, that cave-dweller was either a tongue-in-cheek nod to the Alien franchise or was heavily inspired by it. It reminded me of the final scene in Prometheus when the proto-queen hatches from the engineer. Funny to imagine Kotal and Reiko discovering a brood of eggs in a fog-laden catacomb, but I digress...

This Wrath Hammer is particularly interesting to me now. It's another bolded artifact, hinting that it will continue being important to the plot. Remember though, the Hammer can be seen in Quan Chi's study, so unfortunately this suggests that Reiko may be taken out before MKX.

If it's wielded by either Goro or Reiko in the upcoming chapters, I don't see them relinquishing it willingly, unless it goes to Mileena perhaps. I don't imagine any of these characters would just hand it over to Quan Chi either. On the other hand, maybe he just steals it somehow.

.

The comic takes place after the Netherrealm War though, it's possible Quan Chi had it for the first half of the story (hence the stage) and after him and Shinnok are defeated Kotal takes it back to Outworld.
Since Shinnok and Quan Chi were watching the final fight of Shao Kahn in MK9, that's probably when he took it. But Kotal recovered the hammer at some point.

Predator would be nice so we could finally understand the organization of the realms.

Earthrealm we know how it is.

But Outworld: is Outworld a planet in a realm called Outworld or is that place we see the size of the whole realm?

I always imagine that those organized worlds, like Outworld, Orderrealm, Edenia, are just versions of the planet Earth, but on other dimensions (the realms), while the Netherrealm and Chaosrealm are "infinite" (the size of its dimension).

It's like all are on the same position, but in different frequencies. This could mean that other lifes exists beyond the planet, in whatever plane we are talking, so it would very possible that in a planet outside the planet Outworld, an outworlder (realm origin) version of predator exists, just like the xenomorph.

Ah yes, I hadn't considered that. Wow, I'm so excited to see how the Netherrealm war part of the story plays out. It sure casts a long shadow over the plot of the comics.

The xenomorphs with the smooth heads are from human host. The ones with the grooves and indentations on heads are suppose to be pure xenomorphs.

From what I've read -- The grooves on the heads are something that come with age.

This is exactly what I thought!
