Should Rain be DLC?

I think with the new found info from Gamepro, we need to re-evaluate whether or not Rain will be ON DISC. What say ye?

With these news about the 3 DLC content, I think might exist a remote chance of Ed, tired of all this Rain speculation, possible could have put him as a character, but, without revealing public .... I know it's a very unlikely chance, but, still possible ....

Even if he isn't, I would assume at some point he will be a DL character, anyways. Even if it isn't right away, they still have DL characters at a later date in some games.

If I was Ed Boon, I would have already announced it just to stop all those endless speculations!

I still don't get why such a worthless character gets all this praise/attention.

I don't consider him worthless at all, I've always appreciated the character and see tons of potential for him in MK9. So let's just agree on minor character.

The reason why a minor character is getting all this attention is because all the major characters have been revealed. And I bet we'll be seeing more and more cases of minor/post-UMK3 characters getting attention. Remember when Stryker and Sheeva were the most hated characters? With so many people against their inclusion in MK9? Then eventually they all got curious after more major characters were revealed.

Lastly, for the third and hopefully final time, the leaked DLC article never stated that those 3 characters are the only ones to be released in the first batch, just that those are the ones that the article is revealing. Rain was part of the same potential DLC list that mentioned both Kenshi and a new character (Skarlett), and he got more attention than both of them. I'm very confident he'll be among the first for DLC.
 
Adding a classic individual character like Rain would add more to the replayability of MK9. It's only apt since he's a 2D character he should get in on it first.
