Should Cyborg Smoke be a costume for human smoke or a new character?

I'd prefer a separate character for Cyber Smoke. If they can make refrigerator Sub-Zero a completely separate character, then Cyber Smoke can certainly be separate from DragonBall Z Smoke.
 
He's been a separate character in the past, and get the usual robotic move upgrades. It would make more sense to be a separate character because Sub-Zero is, although I don't think it's totally necessary to explain why he's there except that in an alternate universe Smoke became a Cyborg and Sub-Zero didn't. They shouldn't force it on the plot it should just be understood that we want to play with Robot Smoke as well and screw the story.
 
Robo Smoke should be seperate character with different movelist (teleport uppercut, harpoon etc.) but only to be playable in arcade and not be involved in story-canon (something like human Smoke during MKTrilogy events). The same with human Sub-Zero. There's no return to the past and repeating the same plot is quite pointless.

What about Robo Smoke appearance? I'd like to see three costumes - kind of new one (MK9 exclusive), classic MK3 outfit and Deception's ghost-like form.
 
If they realese him as a new char hope he has the MKA costume as an alt, im one of the few that really liked that costume. [They almost put that costume in the game, the concept of it is in the artbook]

Please someone tell me what to answer because the options given to the question doesnt make sense.

I can't be sure but I guessed the Yes meant "costume" and No meant "character" since "costume" came first in the thread's title. Just a guess though... =\
 
Separate, I feel Human Smoke is unique enough on his own and a Cyber costume would be inferior to his moveset and a waste of dev time compared to making Cyber a separate character.

Human Smoke Alts - Classic and MK3 costume.

Cyber Smoke Alts - MK3 and maybe MK:A costume.
 
i'm gonna laugh so hard if they make a separate khar for robo-smoke and he turns out so shit no one is happy with him or plays him

then a giant smoke-fanboi shit storm brews through the interwebz

or im gonna laugh really hard if they make him separate and he's like mega op like kung lao or something and everyone screams NERF NERF!

either way it would be entertaining and i'd be upset because it would make it feel like development time for making a whole new character wasted away
 
No thanks. Unless smoke somehow is transformed into a cyborg sometime during the future, I don't really care for it. I wouldn't mind seeing it as an alternate costume though

ALT costume is fine, considering the story mode. An actual character wouldn't make sense. I'd rather leave a slot for their efforts be put into another character. and really guys... a smoke robo that just copies everyone else's moves? Can't we be more creative?

EDIT: crap i didn't read properly and misplaced my vote lol. If someone who is going to vote him as a new character could instead vote him as a human ALT costume for me. to make things even.
