Shin Megami Tensei

I decided to play some of the SMTIV DLC because I never really did any of it before. I did the first part of the clipped wings DLC when it first came out and that's it. I decided to play the first Clipped Wings DLC and...

(Don't open unless you know who the enemies are in Clipped Wings)
Spoiler:
This asshole, right here, Raphael, is a straight fvcking dick head. He has this move that depletes your SP and he constantly spams the shit out of it. So for more than half the match, I'm trying to replenish mine and everyone else's SP because I can't do shit for damage without any buffs (even though I'm level 99). Fvck Raphael.

I wanted to run through it with my god weapons and Helel :(

I got the true ending, and that's what pisses me off about new game plus.

Spoiler:
What's the point of carrying over the Compendium when I get reset to level 1. Making it so A I can't summon my level 95 Helel and B even if I could, the fukking true ending takes all of my god damned money away! I had half a million before I entered the Hollow Forest

You can still summon your high level Personas. Their skills just take a fvcking huge chunk of your SP is all.

Helel is awesome. Lucifer before his fall from grace.

I really wish they would have kept the Nocturne-P4G design of Lucifer. His SMTIV design is retarded looking. Well his first form anyways. His second form is pretty sweet actually (don't look it up, massive spoilers).

As much as I like Lucifer's and Helel's designs, Satan is still my favorite of the dark lord bunch. Lucifer has a more powerful demonic look while Satan has a more evil monster look to him.

Though like you, I was mad pissed when I saw in NG+ that I was downgraded back to level 1.

I never had my money taken away though. I still had my items too.

The only DLC I got was the stuff that was that free for a while. I regretted that Gamestop armor though, wearing it is pretty much an invitation to get raped even at early levels.

Anyways, I've been playing more Devil Survivor Overclocked and I am starting to like it a little more. People said the game was hard, although I haven't had any major problems yet. I pretty much try to keep my party balanced when it comes to elemental affinities. Although it's possible to grind, like other SMT, you get shitty experience against foes at a lower level than you.

Unlike the original DS game, Overclocked has a Compendium, but at this point compendium demons are much more ( about 10x) expensive than ones you buy at auctions.

I actually never even used the code for the Gamestop armor. I still have the recipet it's printed on too right in front of me under my TV. It looked ugly as hell so I never bothered with using it and I figured it'd be a piece of shit from the moment I saw it. I think the Amazon armor is a bit better, but not by much.

I'm about 25% into SMTIV on my NG+ and it's sooooo much easier. Especially now that I'm level 99 and have a kick ass party that includes Lilith, Pallas Athena and Asmodeus.

I've been picking nothing but Law choices since that's the one ending I haven't done yet.

I missed the Tokyo Map 1 theme though. Too damn good.

In unrelated news. My P4G promo poster got shipped out yesterday and should be here within the week. I'm excited to get it. My next poster will either be a SMTIV one or the Soul Hackers one.

My plan is to get a poster for each mainline SMT game (SMTI-SMTIV) and a poster of each Persona game and one of each Devil Summoner game (Devil Summoner, Raidou and Soul Hackers).

Flawless, do you know if there's been any word on Devil Survivor 2: Break Record?

I keep forgetting I have SMTIV. Need to finish that.

After thinking about it, I like Persona 3's main story, main character and social links more than 4's. But I liked 4's activitys, friends and events more.

If it weren't for the villain of 4, I'd like P3's story better.

He's my nigguh. Him and Wesker are my favorite video game villains of all time.

"Dammit...you're such a pain in the ass! I'll kill you! Just like I did those other ones!"

I don't mind using ugly things if they are actually useful. Unfortunately, the Gamestop armor is worse than your starting armor. The Amazon and EB Games armor are decent, almost on par with the White Samurai armor.

BTW how did you build your character? For my character who is magic-oriented, put most points into Ma, Ag, and a little bit into Lu. I focus mostly on getting the best single-target spells available, barring the Hama/Mudo line of spells. The rest will go either healing or buffs when I get the extra slots. My equipment also favors increase in SP or Magic stats.

Development has been pushed back constantly. It should have been released July of last year, but now it's scheduled to be released sometime this year, although it not known what month. Apparently, they are adding another episode that will lengthen the game considerably.

The characters in P4 feel deeper, but the story in P3 is better.

My opinion anyways.

I used the White Samurai armor for a good margin of the game on my first playthrough. I'm currently using the Koga Saburo armor but I have a shit ton of macca now so I plan on hitting up the secret Ginza shop and buying the most expensive armor in the game. Everything in the secret Ginza shop is like 300,000+ macca.

My character is mostly magic, but for the most part, everything is equaled out. But for the most part, yeah it's magic. I don't have any physical attack spells.

I can barely afford anything. Do you use apps that give you discounts or extra money? I'm trying to focus on skill slots first before delving into other apps.

macca is harder to come by in SMTIV since battles don't give you money. There's an app where you can ask demons for money instead of joining your party. In NG+ it gives you a shit ton of app points so you can buy everything you had plus a few more apps so I bought a few that helps give you more money from demons and what not. But where I got most of my money on my NG+ playthrough is from the DLC that gives you more money. There's one for money, app points and exp. It basically breaks the whole game by how much exp/app points/macca it gives you, but I really don't care this time through since I'm just trying to make more demons and get the Law ending.

Going through some Nocturne and SMTIV art work and I just gotta say they really screwed up with Lucifer's design in IV. His second form is pretty sweet, but his first design is fvcking stupid looking.

Also, I just now finally beat Clipped Wings 2 DLC. That shit was brutal. Just took me leveling up a bunch of demons to level 99 lol. Gabriel was a c0ck sucker. Michael wasn't so bad, but Gabriel was the worst by far.

My team now consist of Michael, Uriel, and Raphael. I hate to kick Lilith out of my party since she's one of my favorite demons in IV, but she's been max out for awhile now and I need some demons with better skills.

I'm about 35% in the main story. I'm doing a fiend hunt since I haven't even encountered a fiend yet. I'm ready for a good battle with Trumpeter and Matador.

---

Beat SMTIV last night for the 4 time last night. I've now gotten every ending.

I got the Law ending last night and Neutral is the way to go. Chaos sucks and Law makes me sick.

When in Holy Mikado, if you talk to some people they'll be like

"my son was tainted with filth by "knowledge" and literature, so I had him executed."

While Law and Chaos are both the extremes to both alignments, if God came down from the heavens, people would actually do that too. I live right smack in the middle of the bible belt, and there are some fvcking crazy people out there.

Neutral4lyfe.

I don't think I'll finish SMTIV.
I've been spoiled by Persona's 3d battles and dope allies.

Petty reason? Absolutely, but I am only human

Yes! I highly recommend Nocturne. Especially since it's got 3d battles. The story is fvcking awesome too. There's no voice acting though, so it's a bunch of reading, but a really cool feature I think you'd like is that you can name characters, so if their name is to ching chongy for you, you can just name the character Mr.Dicklick.

Being the predecessor of SMTIV, many of the mechanics are similar. This was the game that introduced the press turn system. Demons can be talked to during battles. You build your party by summon demons rather than using pre-made party members. At level up you can distribute stat points.

Like the Persona games, inherited demon-skills are semi-random and you cannot assign skills yourself. Your only equipment is magatama, which gives you varying bonus stats, elemental resistances/weaknesses, and skills you can learn on level up. As a warning, you can only learn a skill once.

Statements like that tend to scream "trying too hard". Anyways, we'll wait and see how they will pull off their theme.
