With an overwhelming 28-2 vote, Havik gets a YES!

HOTARU

This one is very complicated... Love his design, love his fighting in MK:D and MK:A, but man did I HATE HIS GUTS in MK:D. I hated his whole "Order over everything" persona, once I was released from prison in MK:D, I made sure that I beat the living shit out of him with two Flawless Victories, otherwise I'd restart the fight. He truly is the man you love to hate. I practiced fatalities on him because it gave me so much satisfaction.

With that said however, I DEFINITELY want him in. If Havik (assuming he's in) is an agent of Chaos, I'd assume he'd be helping Quan Chi and Shinnok. Hotaru being another neutral, how awesome would it be and a completely different take on him if he sided with the forces of light? I think it be a breath of fresh air for his character, because he already has the design and moves to make him a badass, and the fact that you know he can be "good" will definitely make you interested. Overall it's a YES because of story potential.

Yes for Hotaru. The guy need some work in moveset department, but other than that i love him.

He (just like Havik) can switch bad/good guy roles along the story several times:
1) Raiden offers law & order to all the realms, Quan Chi & SHinnok offer a war - Hotaru side with Raiden, Havik with Shinnok, Hotaru & Havik are foes
2) Raiden still do crazy chaotic things because of his visions, Shinnok's main goal is to control all the realms - Hotaru & Havik switch their teams, still foes
3) Shinnok wants to control all the realms himself, while Raiden will grant the control to the realms' citizens - Havik still with Raiden (cause he is still crazy enough, cause only a crazy guy will grant control over Outworld to it's citizens after all this Shao Kahn's invasion thing), Hotaru side with Raiden, Hotaru & Havik form an alliance.

Pretty much everyone does post MK3.

Yes for Hotaru because we need the key figures from other realms to keep the story expanding, I don't want whole worlds left out. His fireball looks like it could have splash damage. That could be the starting point in fleshing him out.

Ah, I don't really like him, but after reading Axe's post, I do somewhat agree.

It's a maybe from me because a new character could fill in that spot as a character from another realm, but if Hotaru has to be that character, then I don't mind.

Taj, don't bother including my opinion in the count, cos' this is essentially a 'neutral' vote.

No thanks. Hate everything about him. If they want someone from every realm, I'd rather they make someone new from Seido. I'm not a huge fan of Havik either, but at least Havik has some redeeming qualities unlike Hotaru. Hotaru is one of those post MK3 kombatants who just doesn't look like he belongs.

YES to Hotaru.I disagree completely with him joining the forces of light,he would instantly become a generic.Havik joining any kind of group is also a disservice for the character. Now, don`t you guys think that Kotal Kahn has a similar move set as Hotaru would have?Imagining Hotaru vs Kahn is like imagining Zangief vs Haggar for me.Or i`m just crazy?

I voted yes for Havik. By default, I'm voting YES for Hotaru. Havik can't be in without having an Orderly foil. Having Havik without Hotaru is like having The Joker without The Batman.

Wow it sure makes me happy to see so many votes for Hotaru - I did not expect to see this at all! I am a huge fan of Hotaru, so this round is undoubtedly a YES from me. I have a feeling Havik will appear in MKX, and I really really hope Hotaru will as well, if not, then make him a DLC.

@Taj, his assholish persona is what made me love this character, I can totally see where you are coming from though. His neutrality is what makes him even more interesting in my eyes, I mean he does commit evil acts, but he doesn't perceive them as evil - an act in furtherance of order is an act of good.

The Joker is an interesting character enough on his own. Whereas everyone knows that the villains make Batman. I'd say the same thing for Havik and Hotaru.

I vote YES for Hotaru but it has nothing to do with Havik.

Hotaru already actually has a playstyle of his own. His weapon is pretty mid-long range and I can see them improving that way. Visually he was one of the best characters in Deception. I loved the Order realm and I'd want it to be more expanded like Edenia.

YESS of course YES. Hotaru is fitting the game.

I know Havik's poll is over but still i say yes for him too. Havik is one of the best MK characters released after MK4.

Also i would want to see Seido and Chaosrealm stages. It would be amazing. If there will be Havik/Hotaru, then surely we can see.
