Roster Speculation

Exactly.
I don't mind the idea of pre-order Goro.
I have MKX pre-ordered, and it's just a bonus.
IMO, he's part of the main roster since he'll likely also be available to those that didn't pre-order, for $5 on day 1, but I guess that's debatable.

Hell, netherrealm might not even charge them. It might just be a delayed thing. Like wait a month then you can play him for free too.

IMO if you're a mortal kombat fan, you should pre-order so Netherrealm can use your 5 bucks you weren't going to use for anything else early, and invest it early to gain something from it. I bet we gain more from Netherrealm games BY pre-ordering. It might be in small amounts but what are we gonna do with 5 bucks?

I agree with the pre-order bonus because most americans are lazy and would wait til the last day to try and find it. Pre-order bonus makes us go pre-order. Which allows NRS to forecast sales. and not overprint copies as well. the more money they make and save, the more money they can put toward improving their product line.

we all want a better mortal kombat right?

Steam with Digital Copies; no worries about over printing.

Which is not something they would worry about anyway; they make all their money from selling it to Retail stores like Gamestop. GAMESTOP then makes all their money selling it to us, with a very small percentage going back to NRS.

That pre-order money isn't extra. it goes towards your purchase. but...

(applies to all games)

I've pre-ordered The Mortal Kombat X Premium Edition for the PlayStation 3,I'm glad that this one is on all the video game platforms

I'm not gonna watch 20 minutes of the guy complaining about a game that played like shit on release.

IF that's what you're worried about. You can totally pre-order, and WAIT a few days after reviews, and peoples opinions complaints.

If you find that it sucks you can go cancel it. They don't FORCE you to buy it, and I've been refunded plenty of times on my 5 bucks. And they hold it for days for you.

If that wasn't the point of the video I'd like you to explain in words instead of expecting me to watch 20minutes of a video to understand what you could've explained in a few lines of text.

I'm not so trusting when it comes to certain retailers (mainly GameStop).
Had my wife not pre-ordered the standard version for me at GameStop, I would have gone with another retailer.
GameStop f***ed me out of getting my money back, and told me that I could "only get store credit" during the time before MK9, once the Sub-Zero and Reptile editions were also announced for Best Buy and Amazon.com.
I've had a lot of mistrust for GameStop since then.

Pre-ordering is a major problem nowadays. Companies see the pre-order sales and push out sub-par content and have horrible launches. There have been some of the worst launches in gaming history in the past few years, and it's only getting worse. He wasn't just talking about one game in that video.

I have not experienced such a thing for anything I've pre-ordered. And the 2 things that were bad, I waited on the day of release cuz I had doubts.

And I was able to just cancel and get my 5 bucks back.

It's not my fault people put down the money and buy it anyways w/o reading reviews first.

IF they FORCED me to buy it or I lose my 5 bucks.

I'd be right there with you with pitch forks

replace shinnok with tanya replace fujin with erron black

Yeah, I believe Shinnok has been confirmed as playable and we even have a variation name for him, whereas Jax has been seen in screenshots and fought against in his 'evil' form, but (AFAIK) neither seen nor confirmed as playable.

Kenshi seems to be playable in the mobile version of MKX, but has yet to be confirmed as playable in the normal version -- even if it's very likely that he will be.

I guess it depends on what criteria you're going by for confirmation, though.

I'd like Fujin and Tanya to be playable. :)

There was mention of jax's variation
I think it was called pumped up

I know people have been posting a few different links today, but I've not seen this particular piece of text mentioned anywhere so I thought I'd emphasise it:

'NetherRealm wouldn't confirm who was going to be included in the roster, but we did see a couple of unannounced playable fighters, including Erron Black, in the game's attract mode.'

Source: http://www.polygon.com/2015/3/12/8198393/mortal-kombat-x-johnny-cage-story-mode

Sorry if it's already been pointed out, but it was the first time I'd seen proof of Black being playable rather than just a cameo in trailers.

Last 2 slot liu kang and erron black. That piece of evidence solidifies it for me. The leaked roster is correct in my eyes no if ands or buts
