Actually, his first canon debut was in MK: Mythologies which came out August 31, 1997, while MK4 came out October 15, 1997.

Ever heard of the MK4 Road Tour? I seem to recall that going on in June or July of that same year. In fact, I think the news posts regarding the 97 Road Tour are still intact on this very message board. And I seem to recall the MK4 Road Tour predating the release of Mythologies by at least a few weeks...

Doesn't matter. MK4 was still playable before Mythologies was. Did the MK4 Road Tour skip your town or something?

You are correct about every character the debuted in an MK game is post-MKT characters, even those in MKX. However, you are not correct about that is what Boon meant.

I could give a shit less what he meant. It's the letter of what he said that means anything to me and not the spirit of it...and there are 5 characters in MKX that fit that criteria according to the letter of what he said.

With all the reveals being recently deceased and alive character from MK9. if the next reveal is another MK Alumni that was deceased I would Hope for it to be Nightwolf!

- Coming back from the Netherrealm War (unknown) Nightwolf is more intune Spiritually.
-Nightwolf's Spiritual guide the Wolf now joins him in battle (Like in MK defenders of the Realm) granting him Power (enhancing his strength, senses, abilities & Powers)

If there's one thing NRS could do that would infuriate me to no end, it's that. After MK1, Shang Tsung became a joke. Even during MK9's retelling of the first game, he was pathetic. They completely destroyed that character, imo. I'm just as sick of him as I am Kahn.

I thought he was pretty good. He always seemed like a whiny turd. He has also nice in MKDA, one of my favorite MK games due to the eerie atmosphere, all the new characters that I liked (Frost is cool too, she was my main), and the Badass Final bosses. I would like the final boss fight to be good Shang vs Evil Liu, would be a cool 180 turn.
