By the time that MK11 is announced, NRS will already have a good idea of what the final roster will be.

You think that this Toy Factory accident will get as many people behind it for DLC as guest characters, Trilogy characters or even post-MK3 characters?

Trust me, this fan created character will very quickly be drowned out by all of the people continually asking "Hey, Ed, can you put Michael Meyers, Pinhead, Baraka, Kabal, Noob Saibot, Rain, Sindel, Jade, etc, etc, etc........ as DLC?"


I'll tell you what..... Since you're SO convinced that this character will be in either via the main roster or via DLC, if he IS indeed in MK11 either via the main roster or via DLC I'll buy you a copy of MK11 for whatever platform you prefer and I'll mail it to you.
That's a free $60 copy of MK11.
You have absolutely nothing to lose by being right, as I do keep my word and you'll even have this post as proof.

That's how sure I am that this fan character will not be in the next game.

Yep. As I thought. I was actually interested to see how serious you're about this. So yeah, Khrome is not going to happen.

Here is what will happen. Once MK11 will be announced, you will start threads and petitions "KHROME FOR MK11". Right from the start Khrome will be crushed with no mercy by favorites.
Fujin, Sindel, Reiko, Jade (now she won't have any excuse not to be in the game), etc. Basically, everyone who was asked for in MKX. Khrome won't even come close to winning this fight against MK giants. So, it definitely won't make enough impact to get into the base game. Next thing that will happen, is you will start pushing for MK 11 DLC.
At that point you will be fighting for leftovers with other remaining MK characters. You will have to gather big enough interest to catch NRS eye and make them invest money in making unknown character from scratch. And I take it, you will be using same pics, as before. Good luck with that.

How do I know that? Because that's exactly what happened to me. I began Frost's push the moment MKX got announced. Did a whole Trailer, changed the design completely to gather more attention, did different takes on her, petition, videos, etc. I barely managed to gather anything, because of characters like Fujin, but got enough to catch the eye of NRS devs. Thanks to people who shared links to my art and videos. And that was the most important part. There was something to share. Not just. Frost for MKX!

So anyway. If you think that interest in Khrome will explode the same way as it did in 2014, WHILE using the SAME EXACT tactics, then you should try reading "Content - The Atomic Particle of Marketing: The Definitive Guide to Content Marketing Strategy". Very interesting book. It will give you at least 42 professional explanations of why that won't happen.

Of course you can just say. "It won't happen! Khrome will rise! Believe it!"

But at this point I gave you all logical explanations and reasons. So the only thing you can cling onto is... Denial.

But hey! From the bright side... at least you won't have to compete with me. I have 2 characters which I want to get into MK11. One is Frost and another is my own fan made character. And because the second one is fan made, I would have to make a massive campaign to get as many people interested in her as possible, so Khrome who is in the same category (fan made) wouldn't stand a chance.
But I just don't have the interest anymore. Especially after MKX fiasco.

Khrome or the whatever the guy's name is in Kombat Kard doesn't have the large fanbase as other MK characters, but people see the potential in him and Khrome petitions were started that received thousands of signatures, more than even Noob Saibot and Jade. So I think if enough people get behind it then it could happen, which is what I'm counting on in MK11. I don't want to start the petition now because there are barely any MK fans around.

You do know the real reason why Jade's petition stopped? You know that entire thing with Kitana having Jade's weapons and stuff? If there was a chance of Jade happening, Khrome would wish he had the same fan base. Anyway I am done here. I am beating a dead horse here. I gave you tons of advice, by using my own experience which comes from my own Frost campaign, but it seems you live in a wonderland where fans and interest pop out like candies, just because some people see a potential in your Khrome. My Frost design also had a potential in other peoples eyes, but I don't see a playable Frost. Only that joke NRS did to fill the empty gaps.

I will be honest. After reading your final message, I got flashbacks of fighting I did for my Frost design and shit I had to face. So you saying right now, that Khrome fans will start gathering like it is the second coming of Jesus is kinda ticking me off.

Maybe I should restart my Frost campaign and go for MK11. No, no. Even better. I should also start a campaign for my own fan made character. Make a campaign, so f%^king big, that by the time MK11 will get announced, Khrome's new slogan will be "Who?".

You should still make a MK11 campaign for Frost. NRS has shown they can do characters with the same abilities play a different way e.g. Superman and Supergirl. I don't feel the need to make Khrome petition now, only true fans and die hard fans are around plus people are still on Injustice right now cause it just dropped. Why don't you make the Frost campaign now?

Because I didn't have the interest. Especially after MKX fiasco. Got to play the game only after 6 months, when it was dead on PC. Not something I can use as motivation.

But now? Hell I could start my own fan made character campaign, just to show you how campaign works. The hard way.

Commander made a bet, that he will buy you MK if Khrome will appear in main roster or DLC. Well. I am gonna make a bet right now. That I will run a campaign for Frost and my own fan made character for MK. Both campaigns will be successful (as in popular and catch NRS eye) and I will get at least 5k signatures for both of them in my petitions. AND either Frost or my own fan made character will make into MK11. Either in main roster or DLC.

If I will fail, I will get you the copy of MK11 AND buy a season pass (or dlc depends on how they will do it this time).

And just a reminder. Khrome is pretty much fan made thing. So if my fan made character will make it, yours won't. There is only one spot. So unless you want Khrome in the game, you will have to beat my creation in popular vote. Shouldn't be too hard right? After all it beat Jade and Noob Saibot. So what this random character can do to Khrome?

Btw this bet is valid if MK11 will happen to begin with (you never know if something happens).

Commander offered to buy me MK11 if Khrome is in the DLC or main roster.

It's a 1-sided bet, as usually there's 2 sides to a bet, which is why I said that you have nothing to lose.

I said they should make another character with liquid metal powers who is NOT Khrome, who is NOT a ninja at all, just to destroy every single hope there is for your Khrome to ever be in any game.

I'm cool with that but why would they make a non-ninja liquid metal character and not Khrome or whatever the name is of the guy in April Fool's Kombat Kard?

I think if NRS are gonna do a liquid metal fighter then it should be a ninja or the T-1000 from the Terminator as a guest character. Doing their own liquid metal character would be disappointing unless he's cooler than a ninja. What's cooler than ninjas?
 
I don't care what you think. That's the whole point. I want them to make a liquid-metal character that is nothing like your Khrome, just to make sure you won't have your way.
