Retro Cyrax Damage?

Anyone else notice that on Retro Cyrax's body damage, when it shows his skin, his skin is white and not black? I really think showing off the cyborg's flesh underneath the armor is cool, but I was hoping that Cyrax was a little more accurate considering they've made it abundantly clear that before being automated he was a black man. It's not a big deal, just a small detail I'm surprised that they overlooked.

He has no soul, though, and Shang has shown us that a loss of soul = white skin.

ALSO: White people have no souls.

Ermac should have a more tan skin, like arabian, in his retro but he doesnt.

I dont care though, looks cool anyway.

He has the same damaged look as MK3 Sektor.

Well yeah I knew that, but they're different ethnicities. I suppose it doesn't matter with the retro costumes, as I just played as MK3 Jade for the first time and she's as white as Mileena and Kitana.

I think its fine actually. Think about it Cyrax has nomore blood ruinning through him. As such he'd lose pigment in his skin, and thus become a ghastly light shade.

it looks like their heads are huge. No seriously, go look at the battle damage and their heads look unproportional. so goofy

Yeah the retro ninjas could've have been cooler. Not complaining though. It would've been cool to see Classic Sub with those cold black eyes of Bi-Han. Pupil less Scorpion and a reptile who skin rips off to show his lizard form.

NRS got really lazy with the retro costumes. On the male MK1 models the geometry messes up on the shoulder when you get damaged it spikes towards other polygons, Scorpion doesn't have white eyes, Ermac doesn't have MK3, Sektor's flamethrower and afterburners come out of nowhere, Cyrax's winning pose after net fatality has the green effects too low, etc.

The skin being white could be a side effect of the Cyber Initiative maybe the blood being replaced by the "oil"

Ermac doesn't have MK3

I thought the same at first, but retro Ermac could possibly be a throwback to ErrorMacro instead of MK3.

of course if they ever release a retro Rain and he has the MK1 costume, then yeah, you would be right. they are just being lazy

I don't really think they're being lazy. The ninjas were palette swaps back in the day and that's reflected in these retro costumes. It's not just a throwback to the costumes, it's a throwback to the days of palette swaps. That's why Scorpion has pupils and Reptile's battle damage doesn't include showing his green skin. The fact that they're releasing Smoke and Noob in MKII costumes shows they're not being lazy. Classic Smoke and Noob are already in the game in the MK ninja costumes but they took the time to make MKII costumes for them.

scorpions after round sword pull when stance is switched is the biggest sign of lazyness I have seen..

but that is dumb about the skin color.. jeez NRS

Yea the MK2 outfits look really good I hope they make swaps of them for all the people who were in MK2 same with the UMK3 outfits

Also, as stated my Darkside in a different thread, the retro cyborg's dreadlocks are much more stiff when compared to the regular costumes.
