Resident Evil 6

Yeah, she has a pistol, and a grenade launcher with 6 of each ammo types. So 6 acid/flame/ice

Pistol and melee perfect for normal guys and chains. Her grenade
Launcher perfect for bosses and occasional combo bonus.

Ada's Chapter 1 was goddamn dreadful, lol. Might be just because I hate any kind of level that takes place on ships or subs, but I was so glad when I got it over with last night. Her Chapter 2 is MUCH better.

@Jade: I liked her sub level, It gave me MGS nostalgia

Here are some of my Mercenarie's Tips:

Mercenaries

There are 2 different ways to play and it depends on your goal. If you're going for world records. You have to play a specific way which is much more difficult. But I'm just gonna go over how to get Rank A or S so costumes are easy. I'll cover DUO but if you play solo the rules still apply.

Urban Chaos:
Both players should team up getting time bonuses. It's 6 in total. One person covers one side of the street. And the other person covers the other side. There are two in the main area. one person head up the stairs and the other person head for the ground floor one near the double decker bus near the border of the stage.

First wave is super easy. Just face shot, melee them all to death, to get that +5 seconds. Stay near eachother so you can pick up ammo for eachother's kills.

Don't use quick shot on normal zombies unless they have a weapon in hand like an axe/torch. It's not worth the stamina because you won't kill them with your melee. you'll just knock them on the ground then you'll have to face stomp them and you waste 3 bars of stamina for that. Keep an eye out. Let your partner keep the chain going if your at 1 bar of stamina and just run in circles or shoot some in the head for your partner.

Once this wave is just about over. The fire-fighters will start rushing in. Get a combo bonus. Have on player run over and get it. the person not getting it, needs to string out the fire fighter kills until the combo bonus is hit. Once it's hit you can just shoot the backpacks, to get high combo bonuses.

When you run into dogs just quick shot them. 1 bullet kills them and quick shot locks on pretty well for you.

After them is the annoying armored dudes. They come at you kind of slow after the firefighters so string out the last couple 2. And have the other play run to the other side of the map away from the place you can climb up a ladder to get on top of the double decker bus. And spray the first solder you see in the legs. No poitn in risking losing your combo as sometimes by the time you find one of these guys your combo is blinking. use an explosive if you have to.

Then continue on and head shot/knock down/face stomp them all. It's the best way to get that extra 5 seconds. Even though it takes to bars of fatigue. If you get to one bar just start killing them with bullets until you're recharged to 3.

shortly after projectile zombies start coming out and it's just slightly important to note they tend to have more HP than the original zombies at the start. Don't get hit by their vomit I know this is a given but you spend so much time shaking off the acid effect, that you can lose combos because of this. Don't rely on your partner to cover for you for all your mistakes. al it takes is them getting grabbed and you getting puked on and you drop the combo.

Keep melee killing these guys by headshots>Melee for 1 hit kills.

shortly after is where the bloodshots come out. There is like 9+ of them running around. the person with the biggest bad weapon should take them out. Aka magnum/grenade launcher/C4. The other person's responsibility is to keep the combo going on regular guys awhile avoiding being hit by Bloodshots. If he can he should help shoot some blood shots with his big guns as well. HE just needs to keep an eye on the combo and change priorities toa weaker zombie to make sure the combo stays alive. I can't tell you how many times I tried to save combos on bloodshots and when I think they're about to die. They aren't :\

This is the hardest time to keep a combo IMO. They jump like rabid dogs so you have to constantly move. Which is why explosives work so well because they wll surround you quickly.

Same goes for the Fat guys. You should be able to double team one fast enough to keep a combo going just after a fresh zombie kill. Using your big boy weapons. If it starts blinking and he's not dead yet. kill a normal zombie real quick.

you and your partner need to be really good at not getting hit. Being put in dying status almost always garantee's a combo loss. And getting grabbed when a death needs to occur can make you lose a combo. The way killing them with melee works sometimes you'll slightly and slowly drift away from eachother even though you're not intending to. You're just going where the zombie kills lead you. And you never know when seperated whether or not your partner has any mobs around him so getting grabbed could make you lose the combo.

Don't be afraid to waste bullets to save combos. Even if it means wasting a big boy gun on a normal zombie.

Be sure to string out(aka wait a bit between kills) kills when the numbers look low around you. If you're becoming overwhelmed don't worry about stringing out kills just face shot/melee them until it becomes low numbers. The time it takes to kill a zombie with a melee almost cancels out the time you make back. So killing zombies in a slow manner such as spamming melee kills. Is time-cost nuetral.

Another strat you can do while the zombie count is low. or medium. Is let one player kill them. the other just stands as back up incase he is grabbed or can't find someone quick enough. you kill one near yourself.

I'll update one for the Seel Beast later. That one is probably the easiest to get A or S rank. But you gotta know where to move and what to do at certain times. The mercenaries purposely give you low enemies at times so when you kill to quickly you'll lose chain, and if you're in the wrong area during the wrong wave. The mobs take forever to get to you.

GIGANTIC POST ALERT, some stuff I have already mentioned, but wanted to give a slightly detailed opinion so far. Had just been reading random comments on sites about the game, some complaints are just so damn stupid (my last few lines are an example of a stupid complaint someone made)

I will defend the living shit out of the more recent RE games because people's reasons for hating them are stupid.

WAAHHHHHHH IT'S NOT LIKE THE OLD RE GAMES

When you listen to the same song over and over and over again, you eventually get sick of it. I LOVE the old RE games, but there are only so many times you can do a similar puzzle, run around in the same kind of environment, and have Raccoon City/surrounding areas explode.

People bished about RE4 before it even came out because of how different it was and the absence of zombies. Here's a little something for you: the main focus of Resident Evil games are the virus outbreaks. Every RE game has the different viruses present so, yeah, it didn't totally stray away from it's origins. People just think every single outbreak has to make you a zombie.

Over time, the viruses evolved, making the enemy stronger, faster and smarter.

I can understand people missing the old B horror part of it. To be honest, there are parts where I still jizzle my pants. In RE6, the Rasklapanje are fvcking creepy as hell (they are the half bodies that connect and make a weird sound). The J'avo aren't really scary, but they kinda have a creepy breathing sound, especially when you can't see them, but you hear them, and you get all tensed up waiting for them to appear from wherever they are hiding. The bee guys, come on, they are scary as fvck when you are walking along and then you see a dude made of bees coming at you all of a sudden, hardly making a sound, until they get closer.

It's more action.....k? Why are people complaining about this? You ran around shooting in the first game, ran out of the way of boulders, ran away from dogs jumping through windows, waited for Barry to save you while the roof was coming down towards you, ran away from Tyrants and Nemesis....there has always been action in it. There is a lot more now, yeah, but I don't see the problem here. It makes the game fun, rather than just calmly walking around all day.

People also don't seem to understand that Chris works for the BSAA (Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance). The type of missions he does are OF COURSE going to be 'Call of Duty-ish'. S.T.A.R.S. was similar, but on a much smaller scale, because they hadn't yet known about the shit Umbrella was doing and the larger threat they presented, until the mansion incident. S.T.A.R.S. was originally just a small unit working with the RPD. Like I said, they were similar, because they dealt with terrorism, but not at the level of Umbrella until they discovered them. The BSAA are way more skilled than S.T.A.R.S. ever was, and they are specifically made to focus on bio-terrorism, they are specially trained for it, unlike S.T.A.R.S..

Chris's Campaign

LOVED IT. Chris is my favorite video game character of all time, but, I put that aside and wanted to judge it based on the campaign itself, and not because it was Chris. Edonia was probably the worst part of Chris's campaign, and it wasn't even awful, so that basically sums up his campaign as a whole. It was great, and I thought I wouldn't like Piers much because he was just some random new guy to the series, but he was actually fairly likeable, and his respect for Chris brought a tear to my eye (wont give anything away here).

His intro was solid, his ending was solid, the entire campaign really expressed how good of a Captain Chris is and how he cares about his team and is willing to sacrifice himself to save the world. The small Wesker talk brought a great feeling of nostalgia. Not gonna lie, my girl parts almost exploded when he met Leon.

Leon's Campaign

Anyone complaining about missing old school RE should be happy with Leon's campaign. It is basically RE2 meets RE4. You get the zombies and the old RE feel back. I felt the catacombs was too long, but I hate those kinds of levels, so that could be why....it wasn't downright awful, just long. It reminded me of the underground in the first RE (just because I didn't like that part, either).

His campaign started off great, got a bit dull in the catacombs, then picked up again afterwards. Helena was a good partner and I thought she clicked fairly well with Leon. I wouldn't say she is one of my favorite characters, though, but not bad.

One part with Leon and Ada reminded me of RE2. Not really a spoiler, so no worries, but, near the end, during a battle, Ada is hurt, and Leon goes to hold her like at the end of RE2. That was cool, though not sure if intentional.

His ending was good, and Hunnigan was more likeable in this one than RE4 for some reason. I didn't hate her in RE4, but, I dunno, I just found myself liking her more in this one.

Jake's Campaign

His campaign has a creature named Ustanak, and he is like RE3's Nemesis. He chases Jake and Sherry Birkin throughout the campaign.

Not a bad campaign, you learn about Jake, and it was cool to see how Sherry grew up and became an agent. There is a part where she tells a bit of the story about William, so more old RE nostalgia. Plus, you know, Jake being the goddamn spawn of Albert fvckingawesomesunglassesatnight Wesker.

Jake's blood is the main focus of this story because he has the anti-bodies to combat the C-Virus, so he is man's only hope for survival. Chris and Jake meeting was pretty intense, and I thought it was interesting that they choose to make Jake different from his father when making choices. He has the coolness Wesker had, but was a better man (you know what I mean, not a better character, but wasn't an evil bastard high on power). He also provided some comedy in his sarcastic and witty comments.

I really enjoyed the part where he and Sherry were abducted and fighting their way out of the facility. Plenty of laughs to be had there, lulz.

Ada's Campaign

After you finish the other three campaigns, you unlock Ada's and get to go through her part of the story. I just started last night, so I am only on chapter 2. The first chapter takes place in a submarine, and I honestly wanted to kill myself. I hate sub/ship levels, so I was so glad when it ended....I got lost SEVERAL times swimming under water.

Chapter two is way better so far.

Each campaign interlocks, so you get to do your shit and then see the scenes from the other campaigns at the times you meet up, so it's like RE2. Nice touch, and really enjoy seeing what everyone was doing at those moments.

Anyway, very, VERY few complaints about the game. I am a die hard fan of the series, but I can also accept change, and I like the direction the RE games have taken. If people want to bish and moan about missing the old school RE games, then go play them and stop complaining about how the newer ones have gotten away from the dark settings with 1000000000 zombies running around.

People also nitpick at ridiculous things. Jake and Chris's Wesker convo didn't finish? Seriously? I am sure they sat for coffee afterwards and discussed the things Wesker did. Jake knows his dad was a dick, and we know what Wesker did. I don't think we need to hear the convo, because we know how it will go, and Jake came to understand that Chris did what he had to do, and this is present in the game after the short convo with Chris.

Anyway, just my opinion on it so far. I know most people will think I just defend it because it's an RE title, but then people have missed my posts about how much I fcking hate RE0, so, no, I don't stick up for something just because of the title, I stick up for it when I generally think it's a good game. I would enjoy it just the same if it didn't have Resident Evil attached to the title.

If you don't like the game, cool. This is not to sway people in to loving it, just my
opinions on it.

Very well said Jade. Two thumbs way up. Out of all of the campaigns ending, Chris' takes it by the long shot and about damn time, a non-happy ending has occured.

And don't forget that Claire was mentioned in the intersection between Chris' and Jake's campaign.

Jade found the ending sad as **** because she couldn't play as Chris anymore

Critical, C4 makes the Whoppers into Whopper Jrs. lol

One C4 plus 1-2 shotgun blasts from Leon God Kennedy brings them down quick. Bloodshots aren't a problem at at if you get the counter system right. Saves ammo and insta-kills them

you have to stand there and wait for them to leap at you though. And when 9 of them are around. You never know when one is leaping at you from behind.

I mentioned C4 you dingus. It was oen of the top 3 prime examples.

I know dingus, lol you told me to use C4 before your guide. I'm thanking you indirectly for your advice.

Guess your senses aren't as good as mine :mullet:

Has anyone ruined other players' campaign when playing Agent Hunt mode?

yes I'm a super dick when I play that. I run around and make them waste bullets when I'm the dogs. by dodging and running around in circles.

I've killed 9 people while they were AFK/checking PSN.

I've killed maybe 7 people normally. And I've won a bunch w/o even doing any damage. I've lost maybe 5-6 don't know off hand. It's alot harder to deal with 1 person and their NPC than it is to deal with 2 people. NPC's I swear to god try 100% times harder vs you.

:( Forgive me Shira

Haven't unlocked it yet.

I don't like L4D versus mode so I probably won't like Agent Hunt.

Lol I searched up "Leon Kennedy Funny" on Google and a picture of me comes up in the results 8)

It's not really anything like that mode. Most of your enjoyment comes out of the fact you're ruiining someone else's experience.

I'd have to say if there is one thing that will turn people away from this mode is the sluggish controls for the mobs.

I mean I understand I'm not allowed to have more mobility than the mobs. But damn son lol. I feel like a retarded when I play zombies.

It's more fun when ruining someone's experience as a J'avo or animal than being a damn zombie, unless it's a Bloodshot or a Spitter. Although don't be a major dick by talking shit on the mic.
