reiko question?

do yall consider reiko a ninja do to his costume in MK4 and that he was orginally suppose to be noob saibot in MK4 but they just decided to change his head and colors hence reiko was born
 
Reiko is not a Ninja, he is Shao Kahns iligitimate half brother. He is also a rogue operative in Outworld and he also pimps out the girls to the Tartakans now and then for some extra koin Just watch the ending FMV sequence for Reiko in MK4/Gold :wink:

But seriously, he's no Ninja :lol:
 
I believe his character model was originally meant to be Noob, so you're right about that as far as I know. Noob was on the character select screen in some of the very, very early versions of the game, and if I recall correctly, his character model was turned into Reiko's for favor of an "original" character instead of one we've all scene.

I think the same thing was done with Kitana. They decided against having another familiar character in the game and turned her into Tanya instead. That's also why you can sort of "hack" the home versions of MK4 to find Kitana in some form.

Reiko has one of the lamest backgrounds... It mentions NOTHING about who he is. Where did you get this from? :o

Reiko a ninja? I count him as one. He uses Sheirken (yeah I can't spell it :P ) and as someone said, was orginally gonna be noob. Though on the other hand he is also not really one when you think about it... He doesn't have the look.

Actually that came up a number of times here when you weren't around. The deal is that the ending was added to home versions of the game without Ed Boon's knowledge. It was just meant to mess with people's heads and make them go "OMG RIEKO IZ KHAN!!!!11one". It doesn't actually mean anything.
 
i think they are gonna resuurect that theory in MKA tho, his outfit looks a lot like shao kahn's. or maybe it's cos he's the general of kahn's army, and it is some kind of uniform, cos all of kahn's guards dressed like him in konquest.

And yeah, i class him as a ninja, and i hope his ninja costume is back as a secondary
 
In Conquest mode MkD, when you find Shao Kahn He gives you a mission to tell Reiko to stop going into his private chambers and trying on his helmet, Witch explains the Mk4 ending.

Reiko is not a ninja he’s just a soldier who likes to use different kind of weapons.
 
I think Reiko's character model was supposed to be a ninja, but he is not. He is Shao's half brother. Pretty sure that was covered though.
 
He isn't related to Kahn in any way. He is merely his top general and obviously (this is speculation, don't flay me) wants to replace Kahn when he is finally downed. Be that in battle or by other means, that's up to the devs.
