Rated Mature for Strong Language & Partial Nudity?

Normally I'm a total prude but I can appreciate the realism of this. I mean, if you were fighting to the death in an outfit as skimpy as most of the female characters wear, you would realistically expect the clothes, or lack thereof, to be shredded. If this is done tastefully then I'll be okay with it. If they make it a huge goofy perverted deal (i.e. a "boing" sound effect on exposed breasts perhaps?), then its going to rob this game of the brutal feel I'm expecting it to have.

Agreed, its just there for details sake.

If you really can stop yourself in the middle of the carnage to stare at exposed polygon nipples, you really need to get your head checked.

Personally, I think we have more to worry about with Kitana's wink than jades boobs.

I don't think anyone who plays Kitana is ever going to pull a fatality.....

It would be more realistic if they fell out of their clothes entirely five seconds after the match started.

Seriously, the way they've done it looks pretty Mortal Kombat-y so far.

The stuff we've already seen (like that pic of Jade) is probably enough to secure a 'partial nudity' rating, I doubt there's anything more severe than that. And no way that was supposed to be her nipple, it's frickin' green! It's just a bit of tattered clothing. All the girls probably have to glue their tops to their nipples just to make those outfits work.

First I loved Manhunt 2 was devastated when it got an AO rating it sucked after they had to change everything to make it an M Rated game. So I'm just preying that that doesn't happen with this game.
 
Joshuaalt that was over 3 years ago and the producers made the decision to make changes and put the filter on, because when people could take the filter off the ESRB said that does not require the AO rating.As far as we know it could have just been the plier castration that showed the testicles that needed to be taken out at that time for the M rating.It is stupid to start talking about the AO rating now for this fantasy fighting game, especially when it already got rated.

On a serious note, I think they are counting the almost exposed nipples from clothes being ripped off and (if she returns and in her original outfit) Sheeva's bare ass as partial nudity.

...This may be a ridiculous question, but do you know what a nipple looks like?

I highly doubt Jade has giant green nips.
 
How do you think she got her name when she was born? I doubt she popped out of the old love canal wearing a green ninja suit!
