i must defend eminem... no matter what anyone says, that motherf&$#@ can take anything and rhyme it. ok so, check this when you write something that you feel is important or... no screw that. when you write something, no matter what tf it is, if you write it in prose it is comparable to a rope. it is loose and straight. a line of thoughts. but when you rap, (assuming you can rap well) every line can rhyme or connect in a pattern, it all links together more closely, LIKE A CHAIN. this also seems to get whatever point it is you're going for across with more power and emphasis. and in my opinion eminem can forge this chain as well, if not better than anyone else.
not to mention his speed with this skill. (i know there are people faster, like twista, and probly others im not thinking of) but you have to count eminem among the best.
also, even if it makes me look fake, i have to defend icp as well. i know they have beef with eminem, but i dont believe in taking sides among two artists that i really like. i will say that it does appear that icp have "sold out" just a little, but regardless of that notion, they have skill. people who dont understand what they're about just shit on them because of that. but if they took the time to listen to the music with an open mind, and overlook the context of the songs, they would realize that where the skill of rapping is concerned, icp can hang in there. maybe not with the best, but at least better than some of the mainstream garbage being churned out by rappers today. and just to clarify, i dont consider myself a juggalo. im about heavy metal mostly. but when its all over...
