So, are we going to see this thread on all of the active Mortal Kombat sites?
I'm not signing it, because I think, no, I KNOW a handful of characters I would definitely love to see return more than him. I'm not a fan of Rain at all, there is nothing appealing to this character that makes me want to see him in this game.
Call me a dick for having this kind of opinion for this character, I can say the same thing to any of you if you reacted to a character I liked and didn't care for them.
(But I wouldn't because I couldn't care less if you hated my likes so...)

1. The roster has been decided for a while, so this petition is pointless.
2. Rain won't be DLC again. That would be ridiculous.
3. Internet petitions are laughable. When have they ever been successful?
Sorry to crush your hopes, but everyone needs a nice bit of reality smacking them in the face every now and then. The only thing you can do is hope he made it into the main roster. Good day.

Idc who they put on as long as Ermac is in. But I'd prefer rain over any female character If they're going to still have cheap advantages like they do in MK9 (like how it's harder to land jump punches on them). That's the only thing im worried about lol. Rain needs to be explored more. I kinda wish he had some sort of story with Kitana... But with her being dead(and hopefully she stays that way) I don't really see it happening. So yea man Rain chances aren't looking too well but Ya never know

Now I understand Love Cowboy's bizarre comments towards me regarding Rain a while back.
I would love to see my third favourite character make it in. Lets be realistic its not going to happen. I can see huge petitions affecting what characters are DLC (not the main game), but Boon already said they'd not have Rain as DLC again. Before MKX was announced it was obvious to me he wouldn't be in. He's a part of the classic trilogy era and he was still relegated to DLC despite that. That alone told me he wasn't going to be in the next game.
Its disappointing for those of us who love him but its also a fact.

I loved rain in MK9 he was the rain that i wanted in MKA. he was a revamped UMK3 / MKT rain.
I still don't really care if he doesn't come back in this MK. Rain does need more added to him since they didn't decided my to make him a throw in character like chameleon. they actually bothered with giving him a move set.

I signed the petition.
Rain is 1 of my favorite MK9 characters to use (along with Sub-Zero and Nightwolf) in MK9, but I don't see him being likely for MKX.
Ed said that there would be 30-something characters in MKX, but I'd still be surprised to see Rain make it in, even with those odds.

I remember a rumor awhile back (of course I'm 85% confident it's false since this was before the Injustice announcement).
The rumor stated that Rain and Tanya were suppose to be major villains now that Edenia was separated from Outworld and in utter turmoil. If this is true, I'd surely be excited about it. The only reason I still have 15% of belief is because some of the other rumors being true (such as the story taking place over a long period of years and not being about MK4 or after, a sub-boss being playable, and the fact that a "New" Subzero will be on the roster).
So I hope he is in for the sake of Tanya being in too.
