I could care less about discussing characters, but when threads come up such as "WHERE'S THE TANYA LOVE" or "PETITION FOR TANYA IN THE GAME", I wanna rip the hair out of my head.

That goes for all characters though. Spamming a forum with threads about the same thing, no matter what character or what topic it is about, is bad.

Understood, I do mean it for all characters, it's just that the Tanya ones have been prominent and recent which is why I used her as an example.

And not to mention, we had one Tanya fan going absolutely apeshit on people saying they didn't want her in the game. I forgot who it was and I'm too lazy to search through threads.

I've also noticed that Tanya fans can't discuss her peacefully in a thread either. Whenever a thread about her pops up, there are people posting there just to shit all over her as a character and the those who like her.

People tend to forget that they can disagree with something without acting like an a-hole.

I've always found it odd how someone can hate something because of those who like it. Rain as a character has nothing to do with those who like him.

It's like saying "I don't like Sub-Zero because YOU like him!". That's just ridiculous to me. XD
 
All the tears and shit when MK9 was around had tons of threads of people begging for him, whining that he should have made it in over Ermac and just being annoying in general. When I think of Rain, I think of his shithead fans.


Kind of like how people hate the My Little Pony show because of Bronies. There's nothing wrong with the subject in general, but it's supporters are god awful and taint it with their association.

And it is rather narrowminded to hate something because of those people, imo. It's not the "subject's" fault.

To be fair, if Scorpion's soul attains peace, I wouldn't be mad if he doesn't appear ever again.

People may disagree, but the the overall game > one character. It should always be that way, no matter what. Without the game, we wouldn't get said character in the first place.

Complaining about people complaining isn't exactly that clever either. Feels like the ones doing that kind of stuff often just accept any crap that developers shove in their mouth and focus criticizing people and their opinion. (Not pointing at you exactly, keep that in mind).

Rain is one of the characters I could welcome to the series again, but only if improved from MK9 version. Wasn't my kind of character to play, especially because of his damage scaling.

I never said that it had to do with the character.
I'm just pointing out that we've also had people going apeshit for those 2 other characters, cursing people out, name-calling and looking down on others.
And all for what?
Over a few people who don't agree with them about having their favorite character in the game?
Seriously?
 
I think people has the right to complain, I do complain a lot about the things I don't like and the things that are lacking but I also say good things about the awesome stuff we are getting. (I'm loving Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Ermac, Reptile, Kitana, D'Vorah, Kotal, Quan Chi, Raiden, etc.)

With this I'm trying to say that's ok to complain as long as you don't go batshit crazy like our local Johnny Cage and Tanya fans.

Those people who talk about nothing but one character are unbearable.
