Eh... Fatalities are Fatalities. Usually they don't impress me anyway. The only ones I can honestly say I "love" are Noob's first, Smoke's first, Scorpion's first, Kenshi's first, Mileena's first and Johnny Cage's trophy fatality. There may be a couple more, but they aren't coming to me right now. The rest are just... whatever.

As long as Rain looks cool and plays like a beast, I'm good.
 
I definitely wouldn't describe Rain's moves as being unique, but they definitely seem effective. He has a teleport, teleport + hit, a projectile, a projectile that leaves the opponent vulnerable and several juggling moves. I can definitely see him becoming overused, which is great. The more Rain fans, the better.
 
Rain's 1st fatality isn't boring at all. People may not like it because of the silliness, but I'd hardly call it "boring".

But, yeah, awesome vignette, much better than Kenshi's. Can't wait to see his arcade ladder ending!



I was also right about the vignette coming today. My crystal ball predicts that the RainKast will come on Monday; the only reason the KenshiKast came out on a Tuesday was because Monday was a holiday (the 4th of July). Skarlet's MKast came out on a Monday, so Rain's MKast should come out on Monday, too. My crystal ball also forsees the reveal of the 4th DLC character will come in the form of 2 probable scenarios: the Friday after Rain is released (the 22nd), WB Games will release an official render of the 4th DLC character like they released an official render for Rain the Friday after Kenshi was released. Or, they will try to keep the hype for the identity of the last DLC character as long as possible by revealing the mystery kombatant along with their gameplay trailer the Monday after Rain is released (the 25th).

Maybe they realese a blacked out render on Friday 22nd.

Yes but is better than Quan Chi's this one has a water blade involved, and is related to Rain's powers, unlike Quan Chi's wich doesnt make sense, since he materializes a random sword from nowhere, that fatality wasnt even meant for him, it was meant to be for Scorpon.
 
Man that was a cool. I defiantly like the back story to Rain. His fatalities looks pretty cool. Game play looks awesome which is the most important thing. Can't wait for Tuesday.

I'm guessing that the explosion one (the better fatality) will be Rain's unlockable / 2nd fatality.
 
Might just be me but the less serious fatalities happen to be the first ones. Or just any with slight humor in them like Shang Tsung's, Reptile's, Mileena's, Quan Chi's. So i'd guess the inflating fatality will be Rain's first. Of course i say this now and i will probably be proved wrong.

Reptile's second is funnier than his first IMO

yea u are probably right. might sound crazy but i havent seen Sheeva's 2nd or Ermac's 2nd. And you are definitly right about Cage's 2nd being funnier i had completely forgot about that one. In case this starts to get too off topic (unless thats too late) i honestly cant wait to use Rain's fatalities when he gets out.
