So I posted that there will be Rain on the 19th on my messenger, and a bunch of my farmer friends have started freaking out and telling me to shut up XD
 
I cannot honestly find more words to describe how awesome Rain looks like. Seriously, the water effects are genuinely one of the best looking moves in the entire game. His bubble is priceless. I am not sure if he needed a teleport, he didn't have on in Trilogy but what the hell, I just wanted his UMK3 moves back: bubble, lightning and roundhouse kick! Couldn't be happier and he looks FANTASTIC. His combos look a LOT like UMK3 too, not many juggles, Rain is definately going to be a special move-based character.

He has a teleport in Armageddon, not an offensive one though.

I don't know if I would say he doesn't have many juggles: The Roundhouse is essentially a Pop Up, the Lightning IS a Pop-up, and his Bubble can also be used as a Pop-up. You can even hit people with Lightning, hit them with a Bubble on the way down, and then steer them right above you, causing a Combo to start up at Full screen.
 
Sorry for my words, I meant juggles in a Sub-Zero sense. What I meant is that I am not expecting Rain to be long combo-based character with long combo strings between punches and kicks and mix-ups. With so many pop-ups from special moves, he'd be pretty unbalanced IMO only.
 
I can work with him if hes a pressure character which i'm hoping. He seems to have Johnny Cage's (N)4,4 kick string which is great for combo enders.
 
I'm a little disappointed that he has a series of moves ripped off from other characters. Nightwolf's lighting, Noob's teleport and Sektor's teleport. More original moves, the better. I do like hsi super roudnhouse and water orb from UMK3.

Wrong, Nightwolf stole his move, not the other way.

I think his moveset is awesome, I dont get the ripoff thing...

Wrong. Nightworld had a lightning attack from the sky in MK3. Granted it was part of his fatality but it originated it with him.

Either way, in this game, Nightwolf had the move so need to repeat it with Rain. Also no need to take Sektor's teleport punch and Noob's teleport slam. Give him more original moves.

Nightwolf had a lighting ATTACK in MK3. Go back and play MK3. He summons lightning from the sky and pulls into his ax and finishes off his vicitm. Boon took that fatality and used the exact same animation to make Rain's lighting move in UMK3. For the new game they brought it back to Nightwolf again, and now one more time to Rain.

Its not who did it first but who did it better... RAIN

Plus Rain had a lightning ATTACK before Nightwolf if I remember right.

But in all seriousness, after seeing the trailer, he looks absolutely beast. I adore the fact that he still has his roundhouse, bubble and lightning from MK3, and his X-ray looks spectacular. I really just wish NRS would've shown DLC characters more love with Alt costumes and voice lines =/ Hell, if I can get him up to the level I play at with Reptile and Sub, he'll probably be my main =)
 
Man, the more I see the Rain video, the more I am getting amped up for him. He looks like a juggle beast to be honest with you. Look at the combo at the end of the video. Awsome.
 
What i find interesting from the rain gameplay trailer is that he may have 3 fatalities, one where the water bubble covers the head, next where he shoots a long spray of water and third when a water bubble traps the opponents legs and he slices with his water sword. so any thoughts???
