Isn't the network coming up any time soon? Didn't I read this on the official Sony blog?

I thought they would at least have the network running, the psn store I don't care, but online gameplay...

ah well... what's another week huh...

I do not feel any love from Sony... nothing... :-(

From the Playstation Blog "Today our global network and security teams at Sony Network Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment began the final stages of internal testing of the new system, an important step towards restoring PlayStation Network and Qriocity services."

Basically you get a month of free advertisements and crappy games- that's after you spend another week twiddling your thumbs as PS3 network "rebuilds" itself.

MK II is free of charge with PSN +, I hardly call it a crappy game.

Agreed, but its only like $3.00USD w/o PS+. I have to also agree that only hardcore gamers would get the full worth out of PS+ I got it only for early access to the MK9 demo thinking I'd find a way to get my moneys worth, I was wrong.

I bought my 3-Month membership for early access to the MK demo as well. And I did get my moneys worth. Loads of free Avatar/wallpapers/themes. Free Demos. The really cool try it before you but it feature for new releases. Where you get one hour to check a game out before purchase. The PS+ sega genesis collection which I dig cause im an old skool gamer. The day I got the MK demo I got 2 full PSN games worth 15 bones a piece and 2 sega genesis games Sonic 1 and 2 worth 5 a piece and MK2 which was free also worth 10 bones. That adds up to 50 bucks already. Add in Qore and betas and so on. Its actually pretty decent. Lots of free and discounted stuff. So you would eventually get your investment back in some way.

im not arguing, you bring up good points, im just speaking for the casual gamer, or the ones, like me who just concentrate on a couple of games at a time.

You hit the nail directly on the head with that post! If your not a hardcore gamer that plays anything you can get your hands on then you probably won't get your moneys worth

I am getting annoyed at this as well but I haven't had great luck with microsoft. I'm on my third 360 and the current one sounds like a jet engine when I fire it up so I'm afraid it will be going soon. Free net play, the D-pad and my dying 360 are the reasons I got the PS3 version. I don't play enough online to warrant a gold membership. I had one for UMK3 for a long time but after it was removed from the store it got harder to find matches so I let it go. I'm just going to try and wait it out but if you or anyone else does drop sony for Microsoft, I hope you have better luck with yours than I have with mine.

At least your not the generic: "I'm trading my PS3 and games in and buying a 360."

It is nice owning both consoles anyway to be honest.

Okay this is awkward........
1.its not that I cant way a few dys it's just I've lost my faith in Sony with the hacks bank details n sh it
2.I AM trading my ps and game ps move charger and controllers in for the new xbox elite kinect n a sh it load of games XD

So yeah.....awkward lol

i've waited quite a bit and i can't wait till it comes back on, i'm also getting mk tonight so , yeah, i think it can stay off for a bit

I Vouch for this. I tell people all the time if they aren't the type that plays everything and would be up for discounts on a lot of various genre games etc. then it's not worth it for you. I don't have PSN+ because I mostly only play fighting games on my PS3 so it's not worth it for me~

People have already waited three weeks, and there is absolutely nothing to suggest that it won't be another three weeks. Why should people sit around for months being unable to play their online games because Sony can't get their act together?

Exactly, there's absolutely nothing to suggest that it wont be another three weeks. Other than Sony officially stating that online play should be up by the end of this one.
