Umm, Xbox live has been hacked a dozen times sense it started back in the original xbox days, and you guys pay for that shit...That there is a reason to be pissed, there's just no excuse. The fact that Sony is taking measures to make sure this does not happen in the future is a good sign that they don't want to make the same mistakes as Microsoft. Well, at least not repeatedly.

Ermmm to add to Arachno's reply.
We don't see Kratos in the select screen either. Soon as you unlock a certain someone he takes pride of place & Kratos is in an expanding slot. So its nothing but MK.

Who bragged about it? A majority of the time I heard people complaining about him.
And if we did then what makes you better for doing this?
BTW, I think it's a little too early to determine who is high tier and low tier.

One more thing, its really nice to look at the select screen and only see mk characters, and not have to look at a character who doesnt belong in the game and be reminded of mk vs dc.

He's not on the character select screen, you have to hover the cursor over CSZ and then you get the option of choosing him.
Might want to get your information before you start bragging.

You make it sound like the game is unplayable offline.
I have friends I can play with, and I am pretty sure other people do too.

I don't own a playstation 3 but seriously this must suck for all of you that do.
Have Sony gave any word on exactly what has caused the downtime? Must be pretty serious if they have to ''[re-build] our system to further strengthen our network infrastructure.''


Edit: And to all my fellow xbox 360 owners who seem to think that you need to try and justify owning the xbox 360; stop, please. You are making us all look bad.

Back in 2008 Xbox Live was down for a whole two weeks. A bunch of times they've had unexpected maintenance aswell.

Anyway, I still haven't played one game online because of this, lol.

Anyways, as I said before, I am not too upset by this because it gives me time to get some other trophies so by the time PSN is up and running again, I will be ready for pure online play =)

Thing is, when it does get back up, my facebook page is going to be raped with all the trophies I have gotten since PSN went down, lol.

Sounds like we have a lot of volunteers to look for Brutality's /not implying anything
Also don't worry too much because the servers are laggy anyways hopefully they'll fix it by the time PSN is back up for you guys.

You could try mastering a few characters I guess.

First off, don't be a troll.

Second, at least in this forum, I think most people didn't like the thought of Kratos in the game so, no, no one was bragging about HIM at all. What some people DID brag about was that PS3 was getting a character and 360 wasn't. It was 'haha, we are getting an exclusive and you aren't', not 'YAY, KRATOS, HE IS SO AWESOME!!!'

Boo hoo, PSN users are not getting a FREE feature....nothing to laugh at because we aren't PAYING for it like Live users would be. Not so funny when something you are paying for goes down. Not a big deal if a free feature goes down. Sure, no online play, but I am not having my money go to waste like someone with a Live account would.

tier is nothing i can land 7 to 10 hit combos with kratos not vary high in percent but massive amounts of hits none the less.
point is wait untill atleast a month or something before saying whose shit and who is god tier

he past five days of PlayStation Network down time was sparked by a new PS3 hack that let users download PSN content for free spurring Sony to pull the plug.

That's according to new a speculative report that suggests the release of a hacked custom firmware which enables the downloading of PSN content for free is at the root of the ongoing issue.

The report highlights that a custom firmware, known as 'Rebug', was released on March 31 which, in brief, gives retail PS3s most of the options and functionality of a debug (or developer) PS3 unit.

A week later, tutorials appeared detailing a way in which users could use this firmware to download PSN content for free using fake (NOT stolen) credit card numbers.

Apparently, hackers "found out that you could provide fake CC# info and the authenticity of the information was never checked as you were on Sony's private developer PSN network (essentially a network that Sony trusted)."

Piracy ensued, which is what triggered Sony's decision to shut down PSN, speculates the report, going against common suspicion that the severs had simply failed due to a direct attack from disgruntled hackers.

The report also says "no one's personal information was accessible via this hack. Not to say they couldn't get it, but no one is admitting to it being available," backing up other reports today that the risk of credit card theft via PSN is 'not substantial'.
