PS3 or XBOX360 - Why chose one over the other?

ill break it down.
the ps3 is the way to go if you want the full package
1.no one who has a hdtv and seen a blu ray in 1080p 120-240hz on their tv could ever go back to watching DVD. its superior and has audio that just blows away the 360's compressed digital.
2.Audio-the ps3 has way more audio options like dts, pcm and 7.1 uncompressed. sounds amazing and is top of the line.
3. free online and sorry i have both consoles, the 360 online is laggy as hell. maybe its because its the budget console99.99 used at gamestop, but most people on 360 live are hardcore ghetto and stealing their neighbors wifi. ps3 online is solid and MK is just a better experience on ps3. you tend to have the more upper class on ps3, 360 is more poor people. yep its true.
4.the controller. the ps3 dpad is the BEST for fighters. the 360 dpad is the worst dpad i ever experienced. even the new transforming 360 pad sux compared to ps3. also its compact and the 360 is too big.
5. compressed games also. yep early ports werent great, but ports now like darksiders, castlevania los and mk are uncompressed offering better FMV and superior sound. darksiders is 7-9 gig 360 ps3 14 gig uncompressed. its not the ps3, its the developer not knowing the system. uncharted series is the best graphically, no reason why developers are lagging behind.
6. better games. ps3 has god of war, ico shadow, uncharted , ratchet, heavy rain, ni no kuni last guardian infamous the list goes on. these games are diverse. the only game on 360 that was original, had style and was awesome was deadly premonition.
7. netflix 1080p streaming and digital audio not on 360.
8. you get the picture.
i have both consoles and the 360 was good for its time but needs its successor. its outdated, ugly, loud and just old. 360 rocked it when it launched but turned into a shooter console. all that thing has is gears, halo and call of duty, modern warfare, with the 2 latter being multi.
and you have to pay for that crappy online service that doesnt even let you spend just the amount, they rip you off with points and you always have a balance at the end. rip off. so your actually paying more for your games.
why you guys prefer that console is beyond me. mines collecting dust unless i want to play doa4, kameo or deadly premonition. again great when it came out, but seriously lost creativity when the masses went to fps. no original games for 360 made that are AAA. wheres the diversity?

there you have it. any gamer who has the bomb home entertainment set up and wants the very best quality will always choose PS3. DVD seriously?? no thanks. if your fps fan, then thats your console but if you want to experience artistic creative games, the ps3 rules

@AriesSiren: You also forgot to mention that PS3 has NFL Sunday Ticket, and 360 does not!

Plus, PSN is MUCH better for the economy than XBox Live, especially in the current economic climate, when people are cutting back on luxury spending (such as XBL) just to make ends meet. Think about it; would you rather have food on the table, a roof over your head, clothes over your back, water in your system, gas in your car AND have your PSN, or would you rather be forced to choose between paying for XBL and having food, shelter, clothing, water, and gas?

If the monthly cost of XBL Gold membership is the difference between any of those for someone, they should probably re-assess their living situation, tbh.

And BBBLP they have that 360 flashdrive thingy. Not sure what you can do with it but probably can save music and stuff. Normal flashdrives work with 360 too. But I just plug in my iPod and rock out to my shiz as I curb stomp bishes 8-)

Also the 360 online is supreme gorgeous super fanstastic orgy quality for me AND I have an old ass Xbox lol. I have only lagged once in Gears of War 3. I teleported and got shotgunned in the face during execution and well I wasn't too happy :laugh:

I do want a ps3 when I get a job but only for Uncharted and Heavy Rain. God of War and other exclusives have never really appealed to me. God of War is good but not a game I would buy because it's completely linear. Rent that shiz cause I know I'm not going to play it more than 3 times at maximum.

And like Aldo said many times I'd be pissed if Kratos was in my MK9.

Kratos vs Freddy Krueger must be hard to watch :rofl:

Also I think I can pay my food bill and play on Xbox live when I'm older lmao you take it like online is extremely expensive Aries Siren :(

I'm sorry but ever since Xbox 360 came out, Gamecube became 2nd on the manliest consoles of mankind.
 
Both are lacking from perfection, so one will never be better than the other.
There are functions that appeal to two different audiences.
The Xbox 360 appeal to a younger audience, while the PS3 appeals to an older audience.
I feel like if you're 8-16, the 360 is perfect for you.
While the PS3 is great for 16-21+
I've seen the people on Xbox live, there are tons and tons of kids online.
Two of my good friends have 360's and they take great care of them.
However, I've seen them have to replace their 360's 3 or 4 times each.
I've never had to replace my Original fat 40 gig PS3, so that leads me to believe a PS3 is crafted better and outlasts the 360.
Avatars are a cool function for the 360, PS3 doesn't have that.
Having to pay for online services, I feel like that is an insane rip off.
You or your parents already pay to have internet, now you have to pay again just to play a game online??
Despite their differences, I hold them both equally in terms of general appeal. I myself only got a PS3 because I've grown up on the PS1 and PS2, and I'll be goddamned if I ever pay for online.

There's also Twisted Metal, Ratchet and Clank, inFamous, Gran Turismo, Killzone, Metal Gear Solid, Resistance and Little Big Planet. :cool:

And TaBB yeah on COD there are TONS of kids on Xbox but it depends on the game.

I've only met one kid on Gears of War. The players tend to be 16+ on Gears out of what I hear and there are a lot of people in their 20s or higher since it's a more serious game (to me)

There are going to be kids on both consoles, and how they get their moms to buy them Mature rated games is beyond me.
And of course, both consoles will have adult gamers too.
Fact shows there are more children that use a 360 than a Playstation 3, and that is why the argument comes up more people play a 360. Yeah, because the larger audience comes from children.
