Immortal Kombatant Can't speak exactly for Dualshock 4, but I use the DS3 from my PS3 and it works like a charm - albeit being recognized as a X360 controller, because Windows doesn't natively support Playstation controllers afaik. It will see it, but it won't work out of the box. You have to configure it. With the newer DS4 it might be different, but I don't think so. You can either do it the easy way and download an app called MotionJoy or DS4/DSTool, DS4/DSTool being better and less of a spyware, or you can do it the hard way and install Xbox controller drivers from Microsoft using SCP - which sound easy, but really isn't since you need a bunch of other packages/drivers and there is a specific install order. But in the end it works better, because there is zero spyware/spam and its native. It will trick the OS to think it's a Xbox controller when it's not. With the other Motion/DS tools I think you just have to remap the buttons and that's it. But I avoided them, because I don't want to mess up my system. As for just plugging the PS4 controller in and launching the game, I don't think that's possible. But maybe some update as you say enabled that, don't know. Not sure if this is what you're asking, though.
