Official Street Fighter Thread

No stored fireballs? Bummer, that was one of her unique abilites.... Granted, the character isn't complete, but the changes made to several characters make me nervous.

She does store fireballs, but in a new way. You do the LK/MK/HK version of the move, then it stores the fireball in a small bar above the Super Meter, and when doing the move again with the same button, she shoots it.
Edit: Hmm, seems like she only has the LK as a fireball, the other two do something else. Not completely sure though.

...

Anyways, I've just seen the Story Mode through, so here's my opinion: *spoilers*

Spoiler:
It was really good, alot better than I would have ever expected from Street Fighter. Comparing it to MKX's, I think MKX has better script and overall story, however, what SFV did better was instead of having it split into character chapters, you got to play the character that was focused on at that point in the story. NRS should take note of that.

Overall, I think it was a good farewell to Nash and a good way to end the whole Shadaloo saga. It would be really cool if they made new chapters to Season 2 though, with focus on Gill and the rise of the Illuminati.

What do you guys think of the Story Mode?

I don't really see how. Even with all these updates the game is getting, it still doesn't have as much as MKX did at launch.

By not being complete asses. Does SFV have more content than MKX? No. BUT they keep us updated. Seriously they did more in 3 months than NRS did in 6 goddamn months. CAPCOM has it's flaws, yeah. But I'd rather take them, than NRS silent treatment, lack of updates, almost non existent communication (unless they need to market something), backstabbing (PC port), and troll jokes.

This is what I mean, that SFV shits on MKX. SFV at leats works, get updated and I have a feeling that in few months ir might even surpass the amount of content MKX has. Especially the fact that unlike MKX. SFV is an open platform still waiting for new "modules" to be installed (like new game modes, daily challenges).

Ok... came back from Story Mode. Just completed it. Script was terrible. Like so bad, it wasn't even funny. Dialogue was super cringe worthy and hated Rashid and F.A.N.G here. They literally were the only ones with those "funny" reactions. Everything was all over the place. No transitions. No idea who is who or what is happening. Complete mess. The main idea for story was decent, but it was executed in a horrible way. Felt like it was 5 year old who wrote the story. Literally was forcing myself towards the end.

I know that Street Fighter Lore isn't something to be taken seriously. But it wasn't even funny. I enjoyed playing for all new characters though.

I liked Ibuki and Juri. Juri especially. They did her gameplay right. Now just need to wait for her to be released.

I was laughing so hard when I first saw this! XD
Proof that Balrog likes it from behind, and is into white blonde twinks. And that Ed most likely has the bigger dick of the two. XD

After actually playing as him, I have to take back what I said about Urien. Dude looks amazing and feels so fun. His walk animations are too pimp

I'm not really too keen on Juri in her current form. Her dive kick is gone. Her fireball zoning is gone; her stored qcf+K only seems to be there to tack on damage in a combo. Granted the light version of has a fireball, but the start up doesn't seem that great and the range is pretty short too.

She's not the only one, Ibuki might as well be a new character

A good portion of the cast has been changed to various degrees, which I agree. Birdie is arguably the most dramatically changed. But I think it's a good thing since he's much more versatile character than the Balrog-Zangief hybrid he used to be. I still wished Karin was closer to her Alpha counterpart, I would especially like having Yashagaeshi as either a special or even a V-Skill. However, her expanded/reworked moveset helped ease the pain.

As for Juri, what she has gained from the loss of a dive kick and projectile attacks doesn't seem to be worth it. If Capcom wants to make her more of a rushdown character than she already was before, I don't see the point of the storage mechanic anymore. It's unintuitive and the stored moves are not really that strong on their own.
