1. Whining? I really like Skarlet and have been looking forward to her for a while, I'm just not liking her blood ball move. I love how people assume stuff on the Internet for no reason. Yeah, it clearly sound like I'm whining, don't I? About a special move for a character in a VIDEO GAME.

2. Cyber Sub-Zero is NOT a new character. How many times must I say this; he's a new version of an existing character. That's like saying Robo-Smoke was a "new character" in MK3. His human version was in MK2, unplayable, of course, but the fact of the matter is, he was still in it.


3. Maybe it does have force to it, and maybe it's not regular blood but this is the first time anyone has posted this.

4. My head is very clear, thank you very much.

The trailer was awesome. Can't wait to play as her. The people going to E3 are pretty lucky haha.

Was Noob Saibot not a new character because he was in mk 1?

Can't speak for the others, but I'm fine, really. It's funny to me, really; I don't even consider this an argument. Some people are saying I sound whiny and that I don't think clearly; well, I'm just defending myself. :wink:

As I suspected, Skarlet has the regular kunai projectile, and the 45 degree angle air kunai, plus the high projectile Blood Ball, what can make her a very efficient zoner, or an annoying spammer online at the hands of newbies .....

Yeah, she has some similarities in gameplay, maybe with Nightwolf + Mileena, somehow, at least, theorically, let's see once we have a chance to play with her. This resemblance in gameplay maybe due the fact she has 2 katana cut moves, one high, probably anti-air, and other, low. And her teleport is a typical drop-move from air, the same way as Mileena, but, ending in a throw move ..... But her projectile gameplay definitively works more or less as Sindel ....

They did not showed her Red Dash special move (but in the very beggining of her X-Ray, she does an air jump with hit, could be a tip about), so, we have to see yet a more detailed gameplay video, maybe in E3 we'll have chance to see more gameplay video footage of her.

Howsoever, she will add more strategy points in this game.

Good point... well, the Elder Sub-Zero died in MK1, and was resurrected as Noob Saibot. We didn't know he was the Elder Sub-Zero in his former life until Deception. Tundra assumed his identity in MK2 on, and Tundra is a new character storyline, but he replaced Bi-Han as Sub-Zero in almost every game. They never made both the elder and the younger Sub-Zero playable at the same time in the same game (unless you count Classic Sub-Zero in UMK3, but he was non-canon). Unlike Cyber Subby, he plays completely different than he did in his "former life", so, yes, I would consider him a new character.

I guess I go by different guidelines: story-wise he is the same person, which is why I don't think he is a new character. But there has never been a cyborg version of him for years until now, and both he and the human version are playable (with Cyber Subby being unlockable/secret), so I guess that's why people consider him a new character.

Noob same person, different character. (Elder Sub-Zero [SZ's alt])
Cyber Smoke same person, different character. (Smoke)

Why is so hard to understand.

If they would call Cyber SZ, Ice Cream, with same moves, same look and all, people will say "wow a new character", you are wrong he is already a new character.

I hope that there will be a Mortal Kombat II costume pack for females including Skarlet. That's the only game the Skarlet glitch was in, right?

I like MK9's costumes as well, though. The only costumes and character models I am not too fond of, are the overly bulky and stocky looking ones from the 3-D MKs after MK4.

Well i think is just a matter of tastes.

I'd prefer other costumes rather than classics, like Deception Sub-Zero, Deception Scorpion, Deception Ermac, MK4 Quan Chi, MKvsDC Kitana and the Human Reptile dropped costume concept from the artbook.

i'd rather play as classic sub in UMK3 than the the other sub-zero that looked like Alec Baldwin.

RoboSmoke and CSZ were/are new characters. It's not like they are alts for their original characters.

They were both the same person... I forget the guy's name, but he was every ninja, including classic and regular SZ.

Sub-Zero's alt in MK9 can be viewed as playing as Kuai Liang wearing Bi-Han's outfit, as well.

If you listen to Sub Zero's intro in both outfits they sound exactly the same and say the same thing

All right, how about this:

Cyber Sub-Zero in the story in is the same person, while Cyber Sub-Zero is a new character gameplay-wise.

Can everyone agree on that?

I doubt it'll happen. I don't really see NRS making more of the costumes they've already made for a character who wasn't around when they made the first batch of classic costumes. If she gets another Alternate Costumes, I think it'll be more in-line with whatever the next pack of costumes will be.

Awesome trailer and awesome new kharacter. On a side note, if Skarlet ever gets a song in an MK soundtrack album it should be Garbage's "Bleed like Me". :)
