I agree. Vegeta is always one step behind Goku on that kind of stuff, so seeing him go a step ahead would have been great.

I hated Future Trunks during the Android and Cell saga so bad. He was such a badass on his first appearances, and then BAM! "FATHER! LEMME HELP YOU FATHER! DADDY!"

Gimme a break.
 
Can't agree with you on the Future Trunks part

After all, he did attack Vegeta when the latter made that deal with Nigguh-Lipped Cell to absorb 18

Showed he wasn't as attached to his father as say, main timeline Trunks is, despite wanting to prove his strength to him

I also liked that aspect of Future Trunks, anyway

But then again, Future Trunks is by far my favorite Dragonball character so there's probably very little that he could ever do that would make me dislike him

In other words, I'm just a biased little shit

Oh, and Shira, I watched episodes 24-29 of Death Note, I'll post my thoughts on it later

If that did happen then Gohan wouldn't of needed to go SSJ2 and #16 probably would have never of been killed. plus him becoming SSJ2 would have changed the Majin Vegeta fight. It wouldn't have been as important as to Vegeta because he would have already bested Goku.

So I couldn't be more against changing that one little part.
 
You do realize Goku was holding back the entire time with Majin Vegeta, right? And that Vegeta figured this out?

He could have went SSJ3 but chose not to because he had never used it in a real fight before, thus he didn't know how to use it to his advantage in a fight

Also, SSJ3 had a severe ki consumption problem, so Goku wouldn't have been able to fight at full strength for very long, anyway, so he had to stay SSJ2 in order to keep pace with Vegeta

So if anything, him going SSJ2 at the time could have been to the benefit of Vegeta as he would be closer to becoming an SSJ3; since both of them trained rigorously over the 7 years that had passed since Cell was defeated, there's a chance both of them could have unlocked SSJ3 at the same time, therefore they would both be on equal terms in terms of strength

And also, Future Trunks got killed after Gohan went SSJ2/Android 16 got killed

Yes I know about Goku not using his SSJ3 during the Majin fight. But if Vegeta had already beaten Goku before that fight it wouldn't have been as big as it was or it could have never happened because he wouldn't have that built up resentment from being beaten and saved by Goku.
'Cause he would have challenged him after or during The Cell games (We both know that's the most likeliest thing Vegeta would have done), taking away his reason for even allowing bobbity to unleash his evil emotions. I really need to go back and watch the cell saga again I'm getting sagas mixed.

I do think he should have Gotten a lot more pissed when he learned both Trunks and Bulma were victims of Super Buu. That's when I think he should have become SSJ3.

Goku was dead during that time, the only way Vegeta could challenge him was if Goku came back to Earth, which Goku never did until the Otherworld Tournament saga came

There was even a scene at the very end of the Cell saga where Vegeta said he would give up on fighting because Goku was dead and there was no way to defeat him now that he was already gone

I'm getting what your saying. I need to watch it again I skipped right to the SaiyanMan Saga when I picked up the boxset.
