This thread is about weird shit about you and the MK series.
Here is some facts about me and the MK series:

When was a little kid, I use to think earthrealm was kalled Inworld since there was a Outworld.

In almost every MK game I played, Sub-Zero is my 2nd main. It happened in MK9 too. I just decided to pick him one day next thing you know I'm owning this guy online with Sub-Zero. He's my 2nd main now.

I use to think Sheeva was hot and had a nice ass.

Since I was a little kid, I do Liu Kang's WAAs when I playing as him.

Liu Kang does all the work for me in Tag Team in MK9.

When you lost in MK4, I use to scared of those spikes at the bottom. And the music was scary too

That Quan Chi on the arcade use to scared the shit out of me D:

I use to love watching the endings in MK4 when I was a little kid. I didn't kare if they were cheesy either.

In MK4, I use to do the winning pose myself.

When I was bored as a little kid, I use to do Raiden's winning stance in MK1-MK4 and pretend I had thunder in my hand.

In a pool, when I was 13, I use to think I was making ice like Sub-Zero in the movie. I still do sometime :laugh:

Lol bro, I do similar things sometimes here and there but yeah quite few memories when I was a kid. Because of Mortal Kombat, for awhile every martial art movie I saw I thought included some sort of tournament:P

Also since Ive been so ridiculously fascinated by scorpions since 5 years old, when I first saw there was a character named scorpion, he instantly became my favorite character at the time.

Playing as a kid in elementary school at recess I always pretended I was Scorpion XD

The trees in the Living Forest back then used to scare me :P

I was obssessed with the first movie and I watched it like 10 times in a week the first time I bought it on VHS.

I still imitate Ermac's floating winpose onscreen when I win in MK9, as well as the winpose after a round where the souls surrond Ermac and he grabs one XD

p.s. A few weeks ago, there was a Ribfest near where I live and I went there wearing my MK T-shirt...A dad with his family passed by me and when he saw my shirt he yelled out Mortal Kombat!!!!!!!!!! I yelled back the same thing and my friends and I had a good laugh. Such an awesome moment XD

I used to think when they do motion capture for fatalities they would actually film their real deaths.

Whenever my friend farts I say "Oh, Master Bo Rai' Cho, open the Dojo window."

One time when I went to the Dentist I saw a fish in the tank that was a Pitch Black color and I called him Noob Saibot.

My Brother's friends used to make fun of Johnny Cage and always say that "Grabbing a dudes balls is his special move."

I made a Necklace with Shinnok's Amulet one time.

I had a Wet Dream one time involving Mileena.
 
I had to go to the hospital to get stitches for smashing my face on a statue after a failed jump round house, trying to imitate the Jax-Cyrax fight in MK: Annihilation.


I thought the only person who could beat Motaro in MK3 was Kabal.
Because in the booklet, Kabal was fat.
I thought fat = power.

I played through Deception's Konquest 6 times, thinking I did something wrong because I had not unlocked Kochal.
I had no access to the internet, so I had no way of knowing he didn't exist.

My grandma has a picture of me from when I was 4.
I drew on my arms to look like they were metal, and I did MK3 Jax's win pose, in my underwear.
Unfortunately, you can't see the marker in the picture.

The first time I had seen telekinesis was from Ermac in UMK3.
I was amazed and then spent years trying to move things with my mind.

Sektor and Cyrax were my imaginary friends when I was 5.
We would go around and fight "the air guys".
Invisible ninjas that only we could see.


I think its quite evident, I ****ing love Mortal Kombat.

When I get X-Rayed, I act as though I am being hit. Like when Scorpion hits me in the face for his X-Ray I fall on my bed.
Johnny Cage was my favorite kharacter, than it was Sub-Zero and then Johnny Cage. Now, I actually dislike Sub-Zero.
I have every single MK game except the Updated(MKG, and UMK3, and Unchained) ones and Special Forces.
 
When I was playing MKII on the SNES when I was young, I use to cover my eyes and say the fatality that was being done to impress my friends. (the real reason was because I was terrifyed and would have nightmares of most of them)

After MK3 I was convinced that the person I would marry would be named Jade.

Me and a few friends dressed up as MK characters, I lost a bet, so they got to pick the character I dressed as...yes...I ended up cosplaying as Jade. (it was pretty damn good cosplay too) lol

around 9 or 10 I would have real life MK tournments with my friends. And I would be subzero. I would throw ice cubes at them during the fight, and if they got hit, they'd have to stop moving for 3 seconds.

God, there's so much stuf...MK has been the main reason my imagination is so prevalent!
 
I thought the old games were made using paper xD

Like B, B, B, LP my imaginary friends were Kitana and Johnny Cage :D

I ALWAYS picked Scorpion when I first played mk and saw every other character as completely useless

Whenever I reached for something I'd say "GET OVER HERE!!"

I constantly mimicked MK fighting poses and moves

I use Mileena as a threat whenever someone cracks on me now if they know how much I like her xD

I'd constantly mimic Liu Kang's weird noises whenever I played as him

Whenever something was almost done I'd say "FINISH IT!!" then back it up with something corny like "Cook-ality!!"

I had no idea what a fatality was and how they were done for a LONG time

1) I thought I had killed my cousin "practicing" Liu's dragon kick (turns out he just had a concussion and had passed out).
2) I replicated Scorpion's spear using some rope and a random knife.
3) Used to fight with my friends using MKI fighting styles.
4) I think girls that cosplay as female MK characters are extremely hot.
5) Currently building an enclosure for a pet scorpion named "Hanzo Hasashi".
6) Considered naming my daughter "Kitana and Mileena", (both suggestions were immediately shut down).
 
In 1996, I replaced my roundhouse kick with Kung Lao's from UMK3 when practicing Taekwondo. I still find it to be the best roundhouse ever :top:
 
I used to be scared of MK2 back then, because of the Dead Pool music and fatality, blood falling off the "FATALITY", and the "FINISH HIM!!!" because of the red-and-yellow-flashing letters, all capital letters and three exclamation marks, not because of Steve Ritchie or the phrase itself.

I used to mix up Kano for Shao Kahn when I was a little kid because of the name and they were both evil.

The very first time I saw Kabal and chose him in MK3, I thought he was a cyborg because of the mask.

I play the Living Forest theme every time I play Search and Destory in Modern Warfare 2 or Zombies in Black Ops.

I have only beaten Kano in MK1 once in my lifetime.

I used to think Motaro was a secret hidden character in MK3 after the very first time I fought him.

I used to think Scorpion was evil until I played MK4 and saw his ending.

The Bridge, Wastelands, and Sektor scared me as little kids.

I always played MK1, MK2 and MK3 alone in the basement at night on my Sega Genesis.

I found out about Sheeva as a little kid because of watching MK: Annihilation, not because of playing MK3.

I only became interested in the story of MK after seeing Mileena's "Man-Eater" fatality for the very first time (and it was the first time I ever saw her unmasked), and I wanted to know why her mouth was like that.

As a little kid, I thought Kitana was evil and Mileena was good (only because I thought she was black), but of course that changed after I got into the story of MK.
 
I didn't like playing MKSM alone because the Portal and the Soul Tombs stages scared me.

Edit: I remember when I first played MK, it was the first one, I didn't even try to differentiate Liu Kang and Johnny Cage, because they were both shirtless and had two words on their names.

When I was younger, me and my cousins/brothers made a game where we would act like mortal kombat characters and fight, I was always sub-zero and my cousin would always be scorpion. When we did this, someone would always end up pissed because I would argue that I froze my cousin before he punched me or hit me and he would say he dodged it so it never worked out.

I though that shevva in mk3 was a real person instead of a stop motion figure
I used to think that scorpion and subzero were brothers
I once though there was a secret mk2 game over screen like in mk1
I though baraka's mask on mk2 was hand draw.
