Noob vs Noob Saibot

OK, this bothers me. Why does it only say Noob in the lifebar? The announcer says Noob Saibot, it just looks so wack, Noob.

Its is because John Tobias is not on the staff? So they cant spell his name (backwards) but can say it?

Weird...

yes boon said this in an interview, but im preety sure that john tobias (saibot) still gets royalties, plus why change the characters name everybody knows that his name is noob saibot and i dont think the mk team wanted to hear a backlash from the fans if they changed it.
 
This irks me a bit as well. I always like the 2-part name better than plain Noob. Even if the shadow is "Saibot" he should still have the whole name in his HP bar.
 
I kinda see your point....I mean I wouldn't want the life bar to just say shao instead of shao kahn when I fight him either....who knows, maybe they will patch it.
 
Yeah honestly, keep it universal. The announcer says "Sonya", but the lifebar says "Sonya Blade" and vice versa for Noob.
 
The character himself is named Noob Saibot. Ed Boon says that he personally likes to refer to the spectre as Noob and the shadow as Saibot, but it's not official. Noob is still Noob Saibot. The only reason it says "Noob" in the health bar is because NRS is a tad bit lazy.
