You have to do it when the opponent's life bar flashes, like when there's only about 5% life left.

After the enemy is already near death on health bar, if you perform the proper attack you get a specific animation of a kill worked into the attack. Happens in-match, not after the end.
It's a like a stylish last hit, and each character has a number of different brutalities.

I actually really like this new Brutality... There are over 100 and Its short, so it doesnt get tedious...
