Netherrealm looking for "Next Gen" dev's

Now I'm a Nintendo guy, so I'm hoping this is MK for the Wii U. But with the next Xbox and Playstation rumored to be out by 2013...this could very well mean that Netherrealm is hoping to have a title out by either of these system's launch. However, its doubtful either Microsoft or Sony has sent out dev kits for their next gen consoles yet so they're most likely referring to developing for the Wii U. woohoo!

Posted a little thread about this a while ago, doesn't look like too much has changed or that they have filled very many slots.

Now if it takes a while to hire these people + the studio is diversifying. I was expecting another MK game sometime during quarter 1 of 2013. Looks as if it could come out a little later but my belief is that they will want to hit that window well before the new consoles are expected to come out.

It all depends on if new consoles come out in fall of 2012 or 2013. And I think we should see a new MK trailer sometime between August and November. Either way we have a while and I don't think they are waiting for the next gen consoles for the next game.

doesn't really say it's for Mortal Kombat.

If you remember they said they are gonna try their hands at other games ect ect..

Just because NRS is hiring new people for next gen doesn't mean it's MK

I know you didn't say it's gonna be MK, just making a point incase someone reads your post and thinks "OH YA MK10!!!"

Exactly!!!
I was actually hoping that it meant more along the lines of an MK action-adventure game.
A sequel to Shaolin Monks would be nice.
