It all boils down to preference.
I know that it's nearly impossible for me to play Street Fighter or Persona without it.

If you want my opinion,you're better off using a classic Mortal Kombat Arcade Fightstick than some D-Pad or some prototype PDP controller.

I'm fine with the way the D-pad is on the PS3 & PS4.
The D-pad on PS3 & PS4 has always been my preference for fighting games, within these last 2 console generations.

That said, I'm glad that Xbox owners got this, though, as the default D-pad on 360 is shitty.

Looks like the hori gem ex pad with the xbox one logo slapped on it. I hope Im wrong because mine lasted two months before it stopped working.

Same one, same build quality. I just got my PS2 to PS3/PS4 converter from Gummo, he can make one for the Xbox One too.
