Go watch Alucard's Kotal from Combo Breaker. Just because you've never played a good one doesn't mean they don't exist. Ridiculous logic

Deathstroke wasn't hit that bad. He was still viable.

Injustice on the other had: Black Adam got hit too hard. Bane and Flash received too many buffs. Batgirl and MMH kept their dirt.

Injustice was really questionable when it came to balance. Batgirl was downright broken.
 
I was rather late on the whole Injustice thing, due to my console getting the blinking light error and having too many priorities to get it fixed for about a year, so despite eventually settling on Babs as my main, I haven't really been able to take advantage of how broken she truly is.

Lol. I am really good with Batgirl, so when I lose a game to a scrub, I rematch and pick her to piss him off :)

The last patch did a good job of leveling the playing field for most of the cast. I still think there is much to be explored with Injustice. One of my biggest gripes with the NRS community is that we only focus on one game. But that's another discussion ;)

She had a meterless vortex, true guessing game 50/50s, auto-targeting teleport that led into vortex, damaging corner combos, zoning that led into vortex, tiny hitbox, cartwheel that led into guessing game 50/50 and fully invincible on wake up. Basically, her style of play was low risk/extremely high reward.

The only way to beat her is to play good footsies.

It's not just "one good pro" multiple people use Kotal and do well with him. He's not a bad character by any means, I don't think there are any actual bad characters in this game.

I'd say the only characters that truly do need buffed are Goro, Reptile, and Kitana. Maybe a few select variations like Necromancer Shinnok, Gunslinger Erron Black or Spectral Ermac. I'm sure there are more but I don't actually think any character is awful in this game. I just really hope they continue to support this game after the initial Kombat Pack, even if there aren't any more characters I hope they continue to patch it and support it.

Her 18 frame start-up parry doesn't do anything against his Spear or his Hellfire ability. If I try to get close he'll just use his Flame Aura, which completely nullifies footsies and punishes any jump-ins. I usually use Sonya against him, but it's still not easy winning.

I don't think you understand tier lists. Just because you can defeat someone with a low tier character, it does not mean that the said character isn't low tier.

tier lists might as well not even matter then, right?
Kitana is considered low tier and yet the #3 top ranked player uses her.
