Mortal Kombat Release Date and Box Art Revealed

AWESOME!!! I love the box art, got my two favourite characters on it so no complaints there! Also I knew it was going to be the 19th, Gamestop Canada had it published for months now, same with IGN and Gamespot. I cant wait til April now!
 
I'm with those who'd prefer that dragon logo mock-up we've had for a while. This looks just fine, but the mock-up had that awesome "classic" look to it.

And the release date is perfect. That's the week right after I get laid off for the season, so I'll have all the time in the world to spend with this thing.
 
I can dig the box art and everything but I hate to say this but MK seems to be following SF4 in everyway. Ken vs Ryu on the cover = sub vs scorpion
 
I like the cover. It could be something simple like only the logo, but it's not bad at all. As for the release date, too bad I will be studying in this time and have no time to play, but I was already expecting that :(
 
i don't mind the initial & this one , this cover to me keeps in sync with the kollectors edition figures (presuming sub is doing that stance on the other book end). they can put tinky- winky, tipsy,lah-lah & poh if they like ill still get game as im sure others will too

i'm very exited that they finally revealed the date... but that's far from now... april...
and i also think the cover of the game is meh... they could have just put the dragon logo at the cover and that would be nice...
 
I think it would look better without any characters on the cover. But I do love the illustration. Although, I wish they would ditch the Kratos bar on the PS3 version. If they must advertise his presence, then how about putting a Kratos sticker on the plastic wrap for the game box? Or putting him on the back. I just don't think he should be on the front. But still, the picture looks really nice.
 
That box art SUCKS. I really liked the more ambiguous one from before. I guess the story is gonna focus on the Scorpion/Sub rivalry?

On the bright side, I dig the new banner at the top of the forums.

I like SubZero and Scorpion but this game has more than just 2 characters.
I agree with others that the cover should be just the logo.

I prefer the logo like the pic he posted. Either way it still looks good IMO.
 
yes the dragon logo speaks for itself and should have been used by itself. that being said - i still like the box art
