^ Yeah, I remember the strike, and I'm not saying that the writers aren't important to filmmaking, my point is that the specific problems you had with the movie seem to pertain more to the director's decisions than the writer's
Then how is it that a different thing, based on the same EXACT topic, with the same director and different writers, turns out that much better.
Writers DO have that much influence in the project, and the writing for Rebirth sucked ass?
If Kevin had written both the Rebirth and Legacy series himself, then I'd say that it's all on him, but that's not the case.
Kevin got the script that was written and directed it.
If there were bad camera angles, bad fight scenes, bad dialogue or bad acting in general, then yeah I'd say that it was Kevin's fault for not directing better, but the Rebirth STORY is what sucked.
Same goes for MK9.
If the MK9 story was upsetting, you'd wonder what John Vogel was thinking, not Ed Boon.
