Mortal Kombat HD Remix with MUGEN

Hey bleed, I just noticed something. What would happen if you rendered cages sprites by flipping the profile view of the model?

As you can see here, the forehead is exposed on the other side, just like the original sprite:

Here is an animation so you can see the difference:

Probably not a big deal, just wanted to point it out incase you're rendering it from the wrong side by mistake.

The animation is pretty smooth now, I just have to render it full color.

I tried the breathing on this animation, and it's not noticeable. The effect is subtle and he's moving too much to notice. It'll work better for the win pose.

I'm going to have to make a new wig for him, the hair takes like 10 minutes to render one frame.

I'll try making it a solid mesh, and just have a few poly strips on top and for the bangs. Maybe just some thin geometry, actual hair strainds instead of transparency maps.

30fps for this anim, the other two before were 60fps.

I gotta say, flipping the hair around has already made a difference, making it look much similar to the original.

Ok, I just set up liu morph targets and wire parameters in 3dmax, maybe tomorrow I will post the first fight stance animation...

@bleed cage looks done to me, I really wanna se it full color, and I told you it was going to be hard to see the characters breathing, maybe the win pose, but I don't think either, perhaps just move his shoulders up and down a little bit to give it some sensation of breathing animation, but all the things you should do to make the stomach goes in and out just for what?? 1 second of animation on his win pose??

That is perfect now. I might exclude the lighting from the hair which is currently looking strange. Then make a hair only light with it only including the hair and test the proper intensity level. Just about perfect.

Greetings all, your work is awesome, really have a great talent. With all due respect to the project, I think setting some form of hair and nose, Johnny is more than ready for action.

Sorry for my bad english

Body and lighting are perfect. Nose could use some extra touch, though. I feel it should be slightly bigger and rounder. Interestingly, it looks great from up front. As for hair, I think it looked fine first time around. No point in trying to recreate the exact replica of Cage's MK1 hairdo since hairstyles changed drastically since the early 90s. I'm not saying he should have hair like Justin Bieber or something like that (god forbid)... Just stating that Bleed nailed it the first time.
