I dunno, still kinda motherly looking. Maybe her face is too fat?

Awesome :) Also here some details you could improve to make her look younger and more accurate
-Her bone cheek and her wrinkles could be soften
-Her headband is a little bigger so it covers the top of her eyebrows.
-Her lips are a little bigger
-The inside of her eyebrows is a little bigger/darker
-Her iris is darker and a little bigger

@Bleed, nice, It'd be great to see a quick video once you finish tuning up

@Gojira, outstanding job on Sonya. I really like subtle changes vetalfox did on Kang and cb0360 on Sonya.
I think once you apply them they'll be spot on, even tho' its great as it is.

the face looks amazing just the way it is, cause if you see the reference pictures sonya looks older than other characters like ho sung pak, and I think she should look older than the others cause she is some kind of detective from the FBI I guess you should have some experience to get there.. great job gojira....

I agree she looks older on some of the references but some of them where taken after the release of the first game (the one where she's not wearing her game attire for exemple).
If I'm not mistaken, Sonya blade is supposed to be 26 years old in the first MK (Johnny Cage 29, Kano 35, Liu Kang 24 and Sub Zero 32). Also, Elizabeth Malecki was 18 years old (she's born in 1974, february) when the first MK was released (1992, october)

I just notice something else about Sonya's face. On some pictures (on the select screen and the first picture of her ending) she's wearing red earrings. It seems like it was add during the post prod because these earrings are not visible on the other sprites (even during the "test your might"). It can make her more feminine. Also, I think it's only a detail.

I'm having some trouble getting the UI not to shake with the screen. I think it may not be possible, and I'll have to remove all screen shakes for the UI to stay put.

It seems like something simple, but I don't know what the deal is... This may be a hard coded problem with mugen, but I'm not entirely sure.

in mugen 1.1 the explods aren't affected by envshake, and there are more "postype" options
i've read something about a font for the names, i didn't use a font because this is not a regular mugen game.

in this game you have all characters in a single file, i know you can make different def files but then you'll face other "problems".
these problems are:
- battle plan: there are 4 random battle plan per character
- endurances: using a font you can't change the name of your oponent after beating the first one.
- reptile & goro: if you unlock reptile you need to change your name to reptile (or scorpion if you want it like arcade). same goes to goro, after beating the third endurance.


now i'm with computer and my mother gave me some days ago a hdd i forgot in spain with some of my files, so if you still interesed in having me in the team i'm ready to work again.
if this is the case then i think it's better to organize in a better way what you want from me. we can split it in "mini tasks", for example: this week all the stages working right, next week replace character's sprites, then right colision boxes (i made an app for this), etc etc.

if you are not interesed and prefer bleed (or anyone else) coding, then take in account some stuff i made, like the round system wich allow hidden fights, endurances and goro fight after third endurance.

i've installed molebox and i'm downloading the files just in case

It's good to see everything starting to come together now. At a good pace too. It's gone from having the ninjas done for a while now, to Kano, Liu Kang and Sonya coming together. It looks like they are almost done and ready for animating. Plus Interloko is back.
Yup, things are looking good now.
 
True, the only characters that have been "in hiding" lately are Cage and Raiden, although I remembered them both having impressive head sculpts, as well as a full body sculpt for Raiden.
 
Are you REALLY going to commit to this project Inter? This is not an attack, as a fan of this project and someone who knows your story I must ask:
- Are you capable of commiting to this project, instead of destroying the motivation of others by getting lost?
- Are you capable of team-work, instead of thinking programming is the only part that matters, thus forcing your vision into the project?
- Are you capable of telling us if you're here for the "fame" or you really love this project? Because from that single post I can already see your message of "I'm the last drop of Coke in the desert, I know so much of mugen you all should be grateful for having me, even for a week or so".

So far I see, I think you just appear and downloaded everything because you take for granted that everyone is going to welcome you and be grateful that you showed up. That might be the case, I don't know... but I would really like you to think in the hard work of all this guys for a minute, and then post reasonably.

To start with something, you should have said: "Sorry guys, life got in the middle" or something like that... just saying.

I don't want to jinx this but I agree with it. I think she should have the red earrings from the character select screen, etc. always in the HD sprites. That's something that probably wouldn't have shown up well on the old non-HD sprites but would show up well on the new ones. Something needs to be done about the hair on the HD sprite though to make it look more natural.

Also, speaking of Reptile I would like to see his name in the energy bar rather than Scorpion. That doesn't affect the gameplay or tone and since he's neither ninja and both at the same time... well the only other alternative would be to leave it blank.

Hi Mortal Gojira, I made some other update/suggestions on Sonya's face with gimp. Tell me what do you think about it:

-I put her eyebrows a little lower
-I made her eyelids darker
-I soften her wrinkles a little more
-I try to add red earrings (out of pure curiosity, lol)
-I try to make her headband longer, so now, it ends on her shoulder.

The ear rings will be simple enough to add, so why not? And that Reptile concept makes me think that he's a hobo living under a bridge. Just, you know, hanging out.
 
It's really stunning here :D good job! Can't wait to see her with her hair!
Also, maybe I'm wrong but I think her lips should be a little more fleshy/bigger, especially the bottom lips (also, I think her mouth has the good length here)
 
@Gojira, nice start for Kano's body, and I love touch-ups on Sonya. Here's something you might find helpfull:

It's a concept Kano model for canceled MKHD. I love how they handeled his clothes, maybe you can try to get similar results.
Btw I think your Kano face looks better then this one, closer to Divizio. Keep up a great work!
