Definitely much better 3D era than Hsu Hao too, imo, but that said, after MK9 and MKX I’m willing to give ANY 3D era character a second chance.
Me judging the 3D characters that haven’t gotten a second chance is like never forgiving someone and holding a grudge the first time someone does a minor offense against me.
I’m willing to see what they can do with some of the said 3D era characters, given a proper MK9 / MKX revamp.
I still don’t like Bo Rai Cho much, but I at least gave NRS a chance to prove me wrong with him.

Jacqui only liked because she was in MKX. It Jacqui was in the 3rd era she would be considered even worst than Mokap. I really wanna know what there is about her that makes her a good character

Black Dragon Club pretty much confirms that Kano is on the roster. And it seems like such a waste considering the story at hand. Kano is literally the same character he was in the old timeline. He has not changed at all since MK1.
Although thinking about it there are some fun things they can do with it. Kano could be the only character that actually gets along with his old timeline self. But when old Kano finds out his timeline is doomed to Armageddon, he screws New Kano over and somehow swaps places with him. Giving us a young Kano in our current timeline and letting New/MKX Kano die at the Pyramid of Argus. Seems like some Indiana Jones shit lol

I’m wondering how far NRS is taking this old self vs new self in story mode.
We already saw Liu Kang and Kung Lao.
I’m guessing that some of the other mortal characters may also get a younger version to retcon the whole MKX 25-year aging thing.
Kitana never really “ages,” but Kitana and Baraka being on the same side makes me think that it’ll be the MKII version of Kitana and Baraka both from the time before Raiden tells her to go find out the truth about Mileena.

They weren't generous with giving us PS2 era characters so but that was for Trilogy and MK4 reboots. Now we are heading some twisted version of Deception so they need to give us at least 2-3 characters from that period and Frost is among the most demanded ones. NPC role in MKX only increases chances so we can expect at least Frost, alt-timeline Havik (killed in comic but as a final boss, not some cannon fodder like Drahmin or Moloch) and Li Mei, then Sareena, Deagon (Taven?) and Onaga (or Goro/Onaga hybrid - four armed Onaga with split/merged Goro/Onaga personality and grudge against Kotal Kahn).

Unsure if this has been discussed yet, but anyone else notice this when watching footage? The Warrior Shrine is used as the menu icon for one of the modes that was hidden in the Reveal Builds.
What do you all think? Warrior Shrine confirmed for a stage, or do you think it will be directly tied to the hidden mode?? Revisiting the Warrior Shrine would be awesome in MK 11!

It's implied that he got his arms back after trading Kenshi to the Red Dragons and they taught him some kind of Onaga regeneration magic. But his appearance in MKX is weird. We can't really say until we see him again

I think Baraka will have a Revenant skin since he seems to be working for Kitana (He is dead in the new timeline).

I never understood Kano's hate.
He is really ain't that bad. His design was really good in MKX and his movesets were awesome. His story is all about being lucky and surviving which isn't bad when u have Kombat kids and a green turd named Kotal.
The only way I'd accept Kotal's inclusion is if there is a scene where his head is smashed by Shao Kahn's hammer.
