I'm sorry you feel that way Jade, but nonetheless, that doesn't change the fact that I take exception to you telling me to "worry about my own team" when I'm fairly certain you did the exact opposite with regards to my waiver claim for Julius Thomas in the aftermath of Week 1, even going as far as saying it should be, and I quote, "first come first serve". My interpretation of it is that you were whining about it. Like I said, I'm sorry you feel that way, but it doesn't change my feelings on the situation, and I hope we have a mutual understanding on that.
For the record, I put in that claim AFTER you did (just for the sake of clearing that up), but since I scored fewer points than you in a loss that week, I had priority in the waiver order.
As for my brand of trash talk...it is what it is. It's part of the competitive nature of the game. Take that competitive nature out of the game and there's no fun in it at all. Some people get their competitive juices flowing through trash talk, and I happen to be one of them.
Yung on the other hand...he and I have existing NFL-related animosity due to being fans of division rivals. I was motivated to beat him by that virtue, plus the fact that I had a chip on my shoulder because of a real-life trade that impacted my roster. In fact, last year I even attempted to make a DAL/PHI bet with him that the loser would be banned from TRMK for a week, but those stakes were apparently too high for him.
And as for my analysis of your roster...hate to break it to you, but if you were 2-1 right now as opposed to 0-3, your roster (or your draft, for that matter) probably wouldn't be scrutinized so much. That just comes with the territory. As a matter of fact, I probably wouldn't have noticed any holes on your roster if you had beaten me back in Week 2 (and you were projected to beat me in a close one, if I remember correctly). I had to go back to the draft results to see what went wrong after you openly questioned why your roster was underperforming. I'm only telling you that you screwed up your draft because I did the same thing last year, and I finished second to last because of it. I learned from my draft mistakes and have a more solid team this year. Not guaranteeing a championship this year or anything, but what I'm telling you is...if you want to improve your chances of winning, shouldn't you learn from your past mistakes so you don't repeat them again?
And as for our primary motive of playing fantasy sports, I now turn the mic to former New York Jets head coach Herm Edwards.
