MK9 PS3 vs. 360 which should i get?

Which should i choose? :(

I have both consoles but this is a definate PS3 purchase for me.

It has a far better pad for this type of game and the exlusive content is immense IMHO.

Yes you are correct about the Unreal Engine but I think we would noticed the AA more in a FPS type game if that makes sense. Either way the Game is gorgeous on both consoles :-)

Yes, I agree, Both versions will RUN exactly the same, other than the exclusives.
 
Get it for 360, you said you only get to play the ps3 on weekends right? Having the choice to play it whenever you want to seems to be more of a better way to go.
 
PS3: Better d-pad, free online, and NRS said the online play is "Really really really lag free". And all the talks about xbox live is better is bs. PSN's come a VERY long way since it s launch.

It's not a fact that every game runs better on Xbox live than on PS3. Simply a huge myth, mostly used on North America. lol From personal experience I can give you the example of Fifa 2010 that had a huge problem on the Xbox live where no one would be able to find a game.

Who knows if they will not run exactly the same way like most games do, and if so... You have the Playstation Plus side, and that's something that can be a real advantage. Who knows if they put up some future DLC's there for half the price or even for Free like they do with other games.

u obviously don't own both consoles. PSN absolutley blows. ppl PAY for XBL for a reason.

I own both and I think Xbox Live is much better the PSN but it should be since you pay for it. PSN is great for being free so no complaints at all you get what you pay for is a true statement ;-)
 
Cool, you have now your 360 version. In my case, I own both consoles, so I got the game for both (I'm an extreme MK fan) consoles, KE for 360 and TE for PS3 (need a second controller). Anyway, enjoy your game! I have to wait for april 25 (here in Chile, we had a painful delay with special editions), hope to meet you in Xbox Live!

You guys realize that this was the exact reason why Sony paid for Kratos, and the early demo right? To convince or encourage people just like the OP to purchase Sony's version over 360.
 
Iam getting for the PS3 this time I like the d-pad better for fighting games. I not getting into the whole kratos thing some people just hate him lol i did see the GOW stage and it was great 3 fatalities in one stage. I played the demo and it run fine. Very good FPS no slow down. Yes the Unreal Engine runs better on the xbox 360 on some games but i dont see a problems with the ps3 ver at all. get to one you like chose the controller you like. All the fanboy stuff is stupid btw i like both systems a lot either one you get you will be happy with the xbox or ps3.
 
I will look up the Kratos videos on the net and be done with it. For the MK purists, get the 360 since Kratos will be everywhere online. If not, get the ps3 version, the pad is better for fighting games. I have a 360 myself and will be getting the TE stick, although it's not too bad with the pad.

I think it's better only for hardcore online gamers. PSN as someone mentioned earlier has come a long way since its launch and now has a lot of online play happening. The biggest advantage of getting an Xbox over PS3 is the online mode (which should be slightly better since you pay for it) but the amount of times i heard how the Xbox console broke down on someone vs. the practically zero times I heard the same for PS3 made my decision a no brainer when I was getting a console for myself. Plus, I'm not that big on online playing either and PS3 has way better exclusive games that cater to the individual gamer than Xbox. Plus graphics are not too shabby, plus the Blu Ray ... it was a no brainer for me.

But on topic, MK9 will probably run smoothly on both systems. PS3 has more exclusive content and I'm sure online mode will be fine so I'm happy to have a PS3.

it honestly depends on a couple of things. if i was in your situation i would buy the xbox version for these reasons

1. i am already paying a yearly subscription on live
2. all my friends are on xbox live
3. i dont think psn has part chat
4. i am used to xbox
5. i don't like the inclusion of kratos in the game

I have already made a post about it in a different thread, I have owned a ps3 for a few years, so I'm not talking out of my ass...

If you want I can maturely discuss the differences so we don't have people flame console war like teenagers.
 
well it all depends on what you want, do you want the pure Mortal Kombat or are you a fan of Kratos
EDIT:

there is no denying the fact XBL is superior to PSN, true you get free online but xbox gets way more exclusive DLC, Add ons, map packs, it has a HUGE library of arcade, music and 1080p TV/Movie downloads, party chat that can be used on such features like netflix or indie games ect

i have used both PSN and XBL and Ray Charles can see XBL is the superior online gaming experience
