MK11's new hero (protagonist)?

It's just me being wrong, and I also was man enough to admit to being wrong about the Soulnado, unlike others on here.

I believe that I also kept saying that Sonya, Johnny Cage and Liu Kang were all playable in MKX when the Kano article came out and people kept debating me on that to no end, Mr. Snarky.

I remember being one of those people. But I was mostly saying that I didn't want both Johnny and Sonya. Liu Kang can stay though. Love that G.

I don't know how anyone could be wrong about what they want though.

The point is that I'm not always wrong on things, and in the times when I am wrong I've admitted it.

That's respectable.

But when someone is preaching their theories as fact is a different matter. Not pointing fingers here, just generalizing.

Even if that person ends up right, its not that they knew all along because they definitely should of shared their inside information before.

As far as Bo Rai Cho is concerned, I'm taking the same train of thought as those who said that Liu Kang was dead in MK9.
For me, Bo Rai Cho is dead.
If I'm wrong when MK11 is out (or if Vogel says otherwise), then at that point I'll concede to being wrong.
No shame in that.

I hope he isn't, but because he's post UMK3 he's most likely dead.

Same here. To me he's dead.

I don't know why people need to throw fits every now and then because their opinions are different.

Until I am proven otherwise, he's dead in my books. And I'm a fan of his so...

Yeah, Rolling_Toaster.
That's the general feeling that NRS gave me with post-MK3 characters in MKX.
It seems to be that they're either just gone or killed off if they aren't playable in MKX.
I've had that "dead/ gone from MK" feeling for a while now with Fujin, which sucks because Fujin has the potential to take Raiden's place as Earth's new protector, should the Thundergod go "evil" or just flat-out bat-shit crazy (which may happen). :(

Agreed, but if someone is going to knock me for getting 1 thing that I guessed wrong (which I admitted to being wrong), then by the same token I should get acknowledged for guessing something that I guessed right.
But no.
Instead let's treat Commander like a bunch of a-holes (not you) with a snarky and snide reply, then wonder why he responds to us in such ways.
That was the point of my initial reply.

Because it's the Internet and some people feel the need to act like that online, unfortunately.

It doesn't matter if Bo' Rai Cho is dead. The point is, he's irrelevant. They threw him into MKX to give Raiden someone to vent to who is also connected to Liu Kang and Kung Lao. Someone who can sympathize with Raiden's suffering over their deaths. That's it. No more, no less. He was a convenient cameo for that particular situation.

Whether he's dead or not is just as irrelevant as he is. He never resurfaced after Shinnok blasted him. He wasn't even mentioned in passing.

If NRS truly gave a rat's ass about Bo' Rai Cho, they would have used him as a plot device in an attempt to bring Liu Kang and Kung Lao back. Their former mentor trying to get through to them and what not (NRS loves cliches). But they didn't. Why? Cause the struggle is with Raiden - Who is far more relevant to the story and likable as a character.

Exactly.
I couldn't have said this better.

Raiden's popularity shines over Bo's popularity instantly. Look at how many times threads have been made talking about Bo Rai' Cho's abilities and hoping that they shed away his toilet humor. I cannot count how many times I've seen that topic rise, but every time that topic does come into the light you get a bunch of angry people not wanting him to return unless they ditch the moves.

Me, personally, I don't care what kind of moves they give him if he is to ever return. But I know for a fact, you'll get a bunch of angry people hating on him if he returns with the same kind of personality and similar moves during his debut/Deception.

I feel like Netherrealm played it safe with his character, but also cheapening him out with an unknown fate.

Let me make my stance on Bo Rai Cho's fate clear.

Until I see either a revenant form of him, a gravestone bearing his name, a severed head of him, something containing his ashes, or anything to that effect, I am assuming him to be alive. Sorry, but I do NOT acknowledge Death In Absentia for fictional characters, especially in an IP where death has been known to not mean jack shit.

And that's your opinion.

My opinion, along with several others, don't see it that way and believes he's dead.

Learn to agree to disagree, mate. It comes in handy quite a lot on these forums.

It should be pointed out that the primary story writer of MK is already on record as having claimed that nobody ever really dies in Mortal Kombat (that is a direct quote, by the way).
