MK references in The Simpsons Game

Just in case you didn't know about these, they are found in the 'Game Engine' level:

I can't seem to make out what it says instead of 'Deception' (Low Definition PS2 version on a 14" TV), but it looks like Flanders on the poster instead of Onaga

Pretty cool stuff!! I own the game but i never saw the deception poster, maybe the fatality wall but it's been 10 months since i played it and i never finished it.... lack of interest maybe...

That's cool. I haven't played the game yet since I don't have a current gen system, or a PS2 for that matter, but I still plan on picking it up once I do. It's not all that surprising to see considering the show itself has referenced MK a number of times, but I salute you for sharing this stuff.

I think I have better shots of this, in game, somewhere from my Xbox 360. I know I took pictures, but they are probably lost by now.

I played the demo for this game and it was reasonably fun, but also frustrating at times. I was fighting a giant fast food mascot of some sort and he was basically a "puzzle boss". Took me a long time to get the hang of the controls and all the character's abilities.

Yeah the simpsons game is funny and fun, but it has its share of problems. One of it being the camera. Sometimes you go to look at something adjusting the camera, and 1 sec later it goes back to default view and you have to try to look at the area you wanted to again. Also some of the mini challenges for each level seem impossible with one player. But its worth a rental.

I think I got the majority of the stuff in the game, but it sure wasn't easy. I rented it for a few weeks, really enjoyed it especially the challenging aspects too.

ha, ha moral kombat...nice, flanders in onaga's place is hilarious.

Hey, how many cartoons have had MK references in them? Quite a few over the past 10 years. Cool to see Simpsons of all shows have one though.

Other than The Simpsons, the only cartoon I know of that has referenced MK is Drawn Together, in which Scorpion had a cameo appearance. I know Robot Chicken has as well, but that's not really a cartoon in the purest sense of the word. Several live action shows have had MK references, though.

You know, I love to watch that scene from Drawn Together on youtube. It's just so hilariously what Scorpion would do in that situation.

Also the Robot Chicken MK parodies were terrific. Especially the one with Johnny Cage and Kano.

Maybe, "MORAL KOMBAT: REDEMPTION"

Pretty fun stuff, but I doubt I'll even rent the game... not that much of a fan of the style (game, the show is awesome)

Drawn Together, Simpsons and Robot Chicken yeah have all had something referring to MK in some way or form. There's been a few MK references or games in a few movies too. 40 year old is one lol

I could have sworn also that SP or FG had an MK reference in it at some point...but maybe i'm thinking of something else.

The Robot Chicken Kano/Cage segment is hilarious.

I can remember watching something once, I think it was either King of Queens or UK soap Hollyoaks, and one of the characters said something like "Come on, I'll kick your ass on Mortal Kombat Annihilation". I was furious.

I love how in SP, the kids have aged arond a year or two since the show started, yet in seperate episodes Cartman has wanted a Sega Dreamcast and a Wii lol. Either he only set his sights high recently or they only get Console releases en masse in SP lol.

Don't forget he had to wait 3 months for that Wii. Simply counting the days shown would put them a few years older than they are.

Ohh yeah and Ghost Rider...remember that one part on the roof with the chopper? lol.....He says COME HERE!! while pulling the chain In LMAO...I know GR was created before Scorp, but GR never said "COME HERE" before...
