MK HD Kollection

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

But, if it was coming out tomorrow, wouldn't people have leaked pictures or something? People get games early all the time, and a game like this would probably get street-broken easily because it's not a really mainstream title. Wouldn't people who work at Gamestop, like Tim Static, have pictures of their stock?

All good point, but stranger things have happened and I'm trying to keep hope aline.

thats the point... i think they´ve gone the smart route and just putting it up on PSN first!!! thats the only way to stay underground! if they´ve shipped that game for a release like 16th Nov. it would´ve been noticed early anyhow, cause it has to be in stores all over the country on this particular date!

still hoping that when i up ( its 2:00am over here ;) or home after work "im 13 again" after hitting the DL Button on PSN... ;)

till then ...

hope = hanging by a thread

And here's another thing that's kind of interesting. Apparently the Prince of Persia HD Kollection is being sold as a physical video game through retailers in Europe, but its being sold only on PSN in North America. I don't know if thats been brought to attention on this thread, but maybe that will be the case with MK HD but I sure hope not. I would much rather prefer a physical copy.

That is correct. The Sony page has been completely removed now as well. All we can hope for now is that the rumored December release date is accurate. Maybe WB will make an announcement at some point.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

Yeah well, i dont care anymore, if it comes out, it comes out, if it doesnt, it doesnt. Im not gonna be going crazy praying and hoping it comes out. Like i said before, i play the first 3 games on MAME almost everyday with a gamepad, thats good enough for me.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

well has anybody called those retailers that promised it today yet? obviously they're not gonna have it, but if you're pushy enough they'll find out answers.

There's only so much they can find out. WB is being really tight lipped about it. Not sure why, but they are. Really, no one knows much about the game other than it was in development and originally given an 11/16 release date. What I'm curious about, though, is what are the people who actually took out preorders doing?

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

See I think those people have an understandable right to be angry with the retailer since the retailer promised the product, i mean, not everybody researches the validity of products and whether they've been officially announced or not, so as far as those customer's knew, the game was going to exist on the store's listed date. A lot of the times people take the retailer's word at face value, and I think in that way the retailer realizes they owe that customer something and I think that will culminate into retailer frustration and the retailer will push the manufacture for some kind of info. After working at Best Buy customer service for a couple of years I've had to go above and beyond for the customers, especially the "loyal" customers. I'd assume other retailers would do the same, or at least give their customer a little assurance and probably find out for themselves whats going on.

I agree and I think WB owes us some sort of acknowledgement. They don't have to go into detail, but if the game is in development, they could at least confirm it. That's it. No release date, no images, no other information, just a confirmation. If it's not being developed, the very least they could do is deny it entirely. This whole, "Oh, whatever are you talking about???" or just blatantly changing the subject and ignoring the question is downright rude. So far, I'm not impressed with WB's PR record.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

There's no need to deny or confirm its development. When major retailers have it on their stock lists (which aren't aimed at hype) and companies like Sony start listing it, it's as good as confirmed. If it weren't and all of these were happening, somebody would be officially denying it, so it's gotta be real.

Although, it would definitely be nice to get an official confirmation and some official content (pics, videos, etc.).

Don't get me wrong, I believe 100% that the game is real and, not only being developed, possibly close to being finished. But.... WB isn't saying anything at all. What do they gain by not saying anything? As I said, they don't need to announce a scheduled release date, gameplay videos or any specific details, just acknowledge the obvious fact the game exists. That is what baffles and frustrates me the most. At this point, I don't care if it comes out in 2012, I'd just like them to make mention of it.

Re: MK Arcade Collection in November (?)

I don't know, either, but I can only think they want to get their ducks in a row so the announcement is accepted well. They need a stellar announcement so that MK (2011) doesn't overshadow this game and thereby not interest new fans. (If they have a half-assed announcement, 13-year-olds will compare this and the new MK and scoff.) MK has a lot of potential, so they probably don't want a small announcement. MK was a huge franchise at one point, and I can imagine WB is hoping to put it back in the mainstream, so a small "It's out there" confirmation won't do.

I feel your pain, tho. I stopped at Wal-Mart earlier, to my dismay. :(
