Mileena

Mileena for MK10!! She will most likely return as the ruler of outworld as she is the only heir to Shao Kahn. Perhaps we may even see a change in her personality and character, since she is no longer controlled by Shang Tsung's and Shao Kahn's sorcery. Hopefully she will be less sadistic and more mature due to her increased resposibilities and perhaps may ally with Earthrealm.
 
I would love to see that happen, TBH it pisses me off when people call her a slut and a child(MK9 Mileena) Seeing her develop as a character from the last game would be cool.

I really hope she becomes good but not from the start of the story, I want to see that transformation from the evil childish Mileena into the epic outworld queen who wants to preserve the realms in storymode 8)

Yea, part of the reason for her being branded a slut was the way she was developed and presented in MK9. I liked MK:Deception Mileena the best, both in look and personality. She was shrewd, cunning and mature and used her childish persona only little and that too, to manipulate people.

I too would like to see a gradual transformation in her character in MK10. Perhaps King Jerrod's spirit in Ermac, gains control of the body and helps Mileena in this regard. In return she may offer Edenia back to him.
 
Mehh.. Its like your MK10 story all over again.

Not saying it was bad! (was Amazing) But I want to see a mix of your MK10 story and some other new things :laugh:

Lol yea, it is somewhat like that story but I felt it was a logical way to go by since Mileena and Ermac are similar in the sense that they were held under Shao Kahn and Shang Tsung's control through sorcery, thus when they are freed they may be able to understand each others cirmstances well.

But yea, I too want to see something new and different, I kinda regret writing that story now lol, cause I feel I might have spoilt the story for myself and those who read it. :laugh:
 
I still wonder about the Mileena v Kitana rivalry. C'mon we all know they're coming back.. (Dead heroes)

Like Vogel said, No one truly dies in MK.. Lol like how Shao Kahn came back in deception on the came cube version and in Armageddon.

Yea, probably Quan Chi will send Kitana's undead spirit after Mileena for an epic confrontation.

Same with Sub Zero and Scorpion, after Quan Chi realizes its time to get rid of Scorpion. :p
 
I didn't really like that NRS retconned her original birthdate to being born in MK2 at first, but that changed when I took a second look at this part of her bio:

"Shang Tsung has created many abominable creatures in his Flesh Pits, but none so twisted as Mileena. A fusion of Edenian flesh and Tarkatan blood, Mileena is both beauty and beast. This dichotomy has made her mind unstable; she is prone to fits of madness and savagery. Though she has the appearance of a mature woman, she is more child than adult--a blank slate conformed to Shao Kahn's will. Devoid of conscience or remorse, Mileena will butcher anyone to appease her beloved father."

That part really interests me because it's true. Mileena may appear to be a mature woman, but in essence, she is still a child since she was created relatively late during the whole Mortal Kombat timeline. She, like Ermac, was created to serve Shao Kahn and she knows no purpose beyond that. And because of these two things, Mileena hasn't been allowed to go through the same psychosocial development and life experiences that the other characters have through. Until now. She was created to supplant Kitana, which already took place when Kitana found out the truth about her "real father" and about Mileena, meaning that she is the true princess of Outworld. That ultimately means as the "true daughter of Shao Kahn", she is the heir to his throne.

What does this all mean? With Shao Kahn dead (presumably for good) and Kitana, Shang Tsung and Sindel also gone, she will soon have to rule Outworld. But there are a few HUGE problems with this. One, as aforementioned, she is still, in essence, only a child, so she isn't mentally ready for such a demanding responsibility. Two, as the ruler of Outworld, I highly doubt her underlings would respect Mileena as the ruler of the Outworld. They would deem her unfit to rule the realm, and being the evil henchmen that they are, it's almost a guarantee that many of them would try to kill her in order to take the realm for themselves. And lastly, Outworld is also in jeopardy now that Shinnok's plans, whatever they may be, are coming to fruition. Remember at the very end of the story, Shinnok said to Quan Chi that both "Earthrealm and Outworld will be ours", so Shinnok and his Forces of Darkness are also planning on taking over Outworld as well as Earthrealm. Mileena, being the ruler of Outworld at that time, would be a direct target of Shinnok. Keep in mind, this would be probably all be happening at the same time. With so much going on, everyone trying to kill her, and no one else to turn to in her time of need, who does she turn to? Earthrealm.


^^^^^ Now THIS is what I envision for Mileena's story in MK10. If this or something similar to it happens, it would allow Mileena's character to grow more and it would make up for her lackluster story role in MK9. She would go from being the typical lady henchman/femme fatale/seductress you see in video games into becoming a character twisted yet strengthened by the events happening around her. The only life she briefly knew as Shao Kahn's daughter has been cut short, and now she is unsure of what to do or where to turn since the people she was the closest to are either dead or trying to end her life as we speak. Are you listening, NRS? THIS is the kind of stuff I want to see from Mileena in MK10, not the horseshit we saw from her in from MK9

I hate the idea of Mileena becoming the ruler, but the way you made it sound with her being all overpowered makes it sound awesome.
She may look to Baraka for support when she tries to take her place as ruler of the throne. Because as far as I know, they don't hate each other yet. It could also lead to Goro leaving for not wanting to be led by Tarkatans since they are seen as lower filth. He could be a good guy with Kintaro being his rival.
I'd love to see the dark and light side work together against Shinnok's demon hordes.

Wow, that's some kick ass logic right there man! Thinking about Mileena in the new timeline, it is very plausible for Mileena to earthrealm going by this logic and she would be Shinnok's main target for sure. If this turns to be true I am guessing she would get support from some of the factions of outworld, maybe the Shokans or Tarkatan? Don't really know how this would work out, but Im rooting more for the shokans since inspite of their ruthlessness and savagery they are still a noble and trustworthy race (as seen in MK4).

Another logic could be that since she is essentially a clone of Kitana, she could have Kitana's life experiences embedded into her through sorcery, since even though she is essentially a child she has shown to be a very capable fighter. Perhaps with Shao kahn's death/entrapment she would get freed of his sorcery and perhaps start thinking on her own (with a hint of kitana inside her) and at the same time she got to constantly fight her tarkatan urges, sort of like an inner battle.

However I wish they had stuck with her original story though. I liked MKD mileena the best, she was mature and shrewd but also had a playful side which she exposed in a teasing way.

Yes!

Mileena was actually one of my favorite characters in MKD.
I didn't start hating her until MK9. MKD Mileena had a somewhat modest appearance where you didn't unlock her Alt until way late into the Konquest mode. MK9 Mileena you start the game and she's wearing dental floss. You have to beat the game with her to put some clothes on her. But if you beat Challenge Tower, she loses even more clothing.
