Mileena Thread - "Let Us Dance!"

No guys, Im sorry but he is not a Mileena-machine. Maybe I have other style, and that´s why I dont consider Reo a monster, my mistake yeah...

In other words: I think Reo can´t unleash all the potential of Mileena, and that´s why Im a little dissapointed. Sorry friends.

Anyway, he is a good player, I cant denied that. And I can "stole" a few tricks :) xD

EDIT: Next week I´m gonna play in a local tournament in Buenos Aires (Im from Argentina XD), is a small tournamente (24 players), but is gonna be sweet. I promise vids and picture of my Mileena :)

EDIT: in the last fight against Noob, Reo play very well, better! That´s the Mileena I like!

BTW, for fun and curiosity purpose, TYM site put a couple of videos of REO, very good tourney player, doing pretty well with Mileena !! Watch !! XD

thanx for the link...i've watch many kung lao and reptile matches on youtube but there's hardly any mileena's video besides some combo videos of her...

I agree, REO played safe and smart, taking not too much risky, so, his gameplay is not spetacular, but still, it's a Mileena playing agaisnt some very good players, specially, against Chris G who is an amazing MK player ....... I know that others good Mileena players can play this way or even better ..... SaibotMK is a member here, and, I already saw his gameplay,even played against him a couple of times, and his Mileena is AMAZING !! The guy is a beast with her !!

ever since REO started milleena there have been oodles and oodles of them online.

i dont really like playing her anymore :(

i'd say at least 40% ranked matches i face milleena now
 
I think Mileena is a risky character, and that is the point. Reo play smart, yeah, but Mileena could have a kind of crazy, frenetical gameplay with massive damage on the enemy. I accept the point: a Mileena player in tournament, and show how good she could be. But, as you said my friend, other Mileena players can play this way, and even better.

It is a shame Im from Argentina, the lag is creepy when I fight with someone in USA, and I could not fight with a lot of you guys, but I´m so confident in my Mileena. I´m so confortable with her when I took my joystick, she could be a beast :).

@Bamf: CRAP. Today I face a Mileena, a regular Mileena. Basic combos. I think we, a lot of older Mileena users (since day one of MK9), have advantage over newer users of Queen Mileena. She is a character that need a lot of work.

well, since your char matchup is missing Shang Tsung il try to contribute (Coming from a shang tsung mainer here)

Shang Tsung is a Great Zoner but you basicly have to rush him. the teleport is hard to react to in time, and the animation for throwing a fireball is a harder to counter a mileena player. her sais can be beaten by a ground fireball if he's quick about it. i always find it hard to fight a mileena when she keeps rushing me, giving no room for fireball combos. Tsung also has no air game, thus he is quite vulnerable in the air.

just a few tips since i saw no post for Shang. might not be the best but these are how ive been beaten before by mileena's (a TON of Mileena players seem to live here in NM)
 
Hey guys, I just listen the Tom Brady "dropping Sub Zero"... I think Mileena is becoming a good option.

Anyway, TB always say Mileena is an amazing character and better than other female in the game. She is hard to master, but is one of the best character in the games. Best female easily!


MK2 Mileena is coming back :)
 
For you guys that are worried about Mileena getting too popular, don't sweat it. Within a week they will run back to their Kung Laos and Scorpions. I for one am thinking about trying Mileena out, too :P

Probably. We may see a big spike in popularity with Mileena, but that will probably not last long, as people will soon realize that Mileena requires actual skill to play, unlike certain other characters (I looking at you, Kung Lao).
 
Hey, It´s me or Reo play far better at Evo?? The vid Youtjared has posted is cool, but his Mileena is not the beast she was yesterday!
 
before i started to main mileena i hated her. she always gave me problems, so i put in some major work and now she's my best player...S/O to the thread that made it all possilbe
 
Great Topic And Quick Question : Is Mileena's Ball Roll Supposed To Be High-Blocked? Isn't It A Low Hit? Is This Supposed To Be Like This In-Game Or Is It Going To Be Patched? Every Time I Try A Wake-Up On Someone Who Is High Blocking, The Ball Roll Fails... Any Answers On This Please?

Yes, for some stupid reason it's blocked high.
 
If roll ball will be (at any other paralel world) hit low, Mileena will be unstoppable. Really, I would love NRS patch and buff the roll, but that will be a little... broken. So unfair, IMO.
 
Mileena would be the fan favorite if you had to block the ball roll low...glad u have to block it high though don't want everyone complaining bout her like they do Lao

Ya I feel the same way.

I picked up Mileena maybe a month before evo and was really liking her. Now I go online and Shes over played.

I still use her when I goto tourneys though but when Im doing casuals online, I get bored with mirror matches real fast =/
