Mileena Thread - "Let Us Dance!"

Mileena is deadly ..... she has some very easy to use 20%-30% combos, and , all that you need is a well done roll ball or split kick .... after that, you can build your combo sequence easy, quick and very efficient. For a patient player, her gameplay fits well, with 3 sucessfull combos sequences easy to do, you have pratically the match done.

Unfortunately, people overplayed her in .... demo ? So, now, nobody doesn't care about her anymore ? Too bad, she is a very good character.

If they , for some reason, decide to patch her roll ball, making it blockable only with low block, Mileena could be so dangerous that, quickly, people could choose her over others characters ...... hehe

Unfortunately, that won't happen, at least not now. I sent Tom Brady a message on MKU, asking him about the ball roll, and he said it won't be patched to hit low.
 
So what kinds of combos do you want me to put more of on this thread? Do you want more X-Rays, Regular, Enhanced, or Corner Combos? Also what improvements or additions can I make to this thread?
 
Here's 3 combos I use a lot online that I didn't see on the list. They're all very easy to pull off even with tons of lag.

Ball Roll, Splits, Boot Down, Uppercut 24% (this one is dangerous to do, be careful.)

Splits, Splits, Boot Down, Ball Roll, Boot Down, Ball Roll 30%

Splits, Splits, Boot Down, Ball Roll, Boot Down, X-Ray 40%
 
the matchup portion of the thread can be more indepth. like for example when a cyrax player blocks all the tele kicks, whats you next options to get in up close etc. stuff like that. ive heard ppl say her inside game is'nt that great and i can feel why. maybe more ways to get around her inside game weakness and/or explaning them more indepth.

This is a great idea ! I would like to see a section where you put deep analysis about , for example, Mileena vs ALL others characters, for example, a Mileena x Noob, what Mileena should :

- Do to win the match
- Avoid coming from Noob

Could be nice see this, to see her real chances against all characters.

The problem is that online, there's not a wide variety of characters online. So I mostly end up playing against Smoke, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Ermac. So really the only things I can put on the section is how to counter a character's specials.
 
With all projectiles, I just punish with here tele kick. If they somehow block, I always do the sais in mid air because sometimes they can't reach me with the uppercut.
If people block a lot of her teles, I use ex tele for the second hit. 75 percent of the time, people don't block the second one.
She also has a great low mix up when someones back is to a corner.

well to help all the mileena people out there, i was watching the tom brady show and posting questions and one of the guys answering online was a top mileena player. he said her worst matchups were rayden and cyber-sub. also tom said against kung lao the IAS was a key to beating him. i know they only have 2 weeks of the show left and i think mileena will be next week. tune in there. well thats my 2cents. just trying to help the community.
 
Corner Combo Split Kicks, Split Kicks, A, B, A, B, Ball Roll, A, B, Ball Roll. Simple and Damaging for a whooping 34%

Ps. I dont know the buttons for PS3
 
IMO, Mileena's BnB are :

1) U+4,U+4,B+1,4,4,roll ball, uppercut - very easy to do, and grants a 32% damage, can be used all the time
2) Roll ball, U+4, B+1,4, roll ball - easy to link and grants a 20% damage ..... any roll ball sucessful done can be used to start it, so, on time, happens naturally all the time

IMO, the easiest combos for her, and, a couple I use the most when aiming for simple, fast, pratical and quick combos, not the more complex ones.
 
There is a lot of info, different opinions & tips in this thread and really not a whole lot to say exactly far as tips on Mileena go. I will share something though from my opinion & experience. Yaujared listed consistent easy combos people can pick right up on and from there you can evolve them into doing a litter higher % dmg consistently. When you start getting into using just one ex move (ball roll) to chain %39 - %40+ combos consistently your probably doing pretty good. Using more then one ex move in a combo isn't exactly the best thing to do pending on variables as you really are only wanting to use 1 ex move to chain more hits/dmg in a combo. So just because you can do that 3 ex combo doesn't mean your going to do that much more if not just the same as if you did just 1 or no ex move in a combo. You gotta play with dmg scaling, but with Mileena I know that just using one ex move in a combo is golden for chaining a larger dmg combo.

Other then that yea saving for breakers & x rays is always a good bet, all about the variables hah.

Awesome thread, Mileena was my best MK characther, but NRS really changed her timing in this game, i'm still trying to master her, but the is one of the most difficult characters of the game to master, at least in my opinion, of course, you can do simple 4-5 hit combos with her, but the more complex and damaging combos of her are extremely hard to do.

I think your section is pretty good, but, if you think could be good, or to complete some information about, to put a ratio system based in numbers, as the Johnny Cage thread, in order to summary the chances Mileena have against others characters, well, be my guest ! Your thread, you are in charge, so, your decision ! XD :D

Very good ! You're a true Mileena fan ! I agreed with your stats there : Noob is a hell of annoying and tough character to deal with, even more if the player using him, decide to stay far, zoning, defensive and never coming to fight ..... played against a decent Noob yesterday, and was hard to fight against, I lose 1 match and won other one, but, tough fight ....

And I agreed that Scorpion is perhaps one of the easiest for Mileena, even the Prima Official Guide put analysis how Scorpion has disadvantage against her, and , in the pratical way, if Scorpion teleports don't conect, he is dead against her.
 
Against a Kitana with Mileena all I gotta say is pressure pressure pressure since most Kitana users play keep away. The teleport drop is great for this but the ball roll becomes tricky to use since most kitana's use square boost a lot which I like to counter with a good old fashioned air sai. Her fans can be countered by a teleport drop or a ball roll like any other projectile because they can be a bit tricky to get over sometimes. So as long as you keep pressure on Kitana with Mileena's amazing combos it should be an easy match although if your opponent is a more hand-to-hand kitana then you might want to keep your distance because she can catch you with her fan lift and go into some short but still threatening combos

Kung Lao can be annoying depending on the player. Most do that spin to hat to dive kick so being aggresive with Mileena doesn't always work. Kung Lao's hat throw is pretty fast so reacting with a teleport drop can require intense timing. Kung Lao's super annoying ground hat can interrupt your ball roll so I prefer to do the roll in combos against him. His teleport is extremely predictable so its always counterable with a simple uppercut or nice easy Mileena combo. Just don't get too close because that spin is super instant and sets you up for some easy damage
