Do microphones work online? Can't seem to get mine to work and I keep on seeing people asking for challengers with microphones in the chat rooms.

im assuming your on xbox? if so, no the xbox live mics dont work, but at the same time they do work. and ill leave it right there.
 
And ps3? Not heard one voice online, hoping this comes with a patch once they've sorted stability out etc.
 
I hear mics all the time.
I personally love facing someone with a mic.

Their reactions to my masterful combos feed the beast.
 
I fought someone who had a microphone one time.

Sadly, the player wasn't on the microphone. Rather, he was blasting Lady GaGa through the microphone.

I beat the hell out of him.
 
I ****ing hate when people blare white noise through their mics.

Its especially common in KOTH where you can't mute people while you're playing.
They try to make you quit :?
 
I had a Mic but I caught my lil brothers friend chewing on it and now it doesn't work. The kid is like ****ing 8. I'm butthurt
 
no mics do work on all matches, just both players have to have them as far a ps3 is concerned, if your in the eu, have a mic and dont believe me add me or challenge me to a fight i usually have my mic on, just make sure yours is on

Yes, the mics on PS3 do work. You both have to have mics activated though. If only one of you have a mic, you won't be able to hear the other person talking through your t.v.

I love mic games the most. I always play in the "miconly" room since, well, pretty much everyone there has a mic. Most of the people in that room gather in KotH matches too, so it's a ton of fun!! However, if you get bored of KotH, you can always float around in that "miconly" room and just play some 1v1 or 2vs2. Chances are, you'll play against other mic owners.

It's funny, to me at least, because i have a deep voice and people always assume i'm some old guy. LOL. Almost everyone I hear on the mic have these pre-teen, squeaky voices. It's all in good fun though.

I don't see why people want to face other people with mics, this isn't a chat service. I don't get on MK to chat to people, I get on to fight them. I purposely challenge people who want to chat and I have a mic but I don't say anything.

I was facing one kid who started curing because "Dude! You wont ****ing let me get up!"
 
I don't care if you have a mic or not, but if you do; FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, TURN DOWN YOUR VOLUME!

I don't want to hear the games sound effects ten seconds after they happen a second time.
