I never comment on a thread more than once but wow! You truly have some talent and should pursue a job in character design if video game art is your passion. Link this to Ed Boon. You may end up with an awesome job! The Sub-Zero drawing is incredible. I love his mask is made of Icicles very different and original. As is your design of reptile! Good luck with your art, I don't think you'll have any trouble finding work.

Great work mate! This is seriously the best MK artwork I have ever seen. I like your perception of smoke, it is quite cool. :)
 
a big thankyou for all who appreciated my work..thanks a ton .. you're response was overwhelming and is tempting to keep making mk art BUT i have to take a break from it.
Reason i'm broke and m in a bad condition so i'll have to carry on with my work until i get free time and a new badass idea :)..

it took 21 years of practicing to make smoke vs rain .(in a way) not professional but as a hobbyist :D. you know what i mean ;)

yes and no. i live in india.. mainly they are looking for is 2d animators. "adobe flash" and i have no interest in that.. i draw stills more over my interest lies in converting cartoons and 2d drawings to a realistic avatar. "how would they look in real life" does it happen to you?
btw i dont have any profession qualifications, no art school, no art study its all comics,cartoons and gamertv so i never qualified :P

i use a digital tablet.. wacom bamboo small 4X6.. it comes around 50~70$'s..
the first art was just a fluke, it happened and was like 5 years ago. around 3 hours ;P..
the scorpion and subzero arts where just the faces.. then it got my interest and i decided to add some composition too.. so around 2 days. 12~13 hours a day.. <----- i never plan my work thus i spend a lot of time in trial and error . and these are huge 90 + inches at 72 dpi.
reptile and later are planned saved time. but not well planned so.. 2 days each.


Like I said earlier, please, please, PLEASE come back often, share more of your art, ideas, opinions, and kindness with this community. And, most importantly, have fun!

i've been watching every art thread.. from new avatars to mileena eating johnny.. i'm a silent observer. i do not reply but love teh work.. they inspire me..:D even online i just search mortal kombat and surf them.. donno why .. but i'm crazy for the artworks.

firstly i'm honored , secondly not many people have noticed subzero's mask.. i thought it was so cool to give him something like that and it went away as an overlooked accessory for 4 years until now :).
i can show you the actual version of their faces "subzero and scorpion" if you are interested.

working for mk :'D that would be a dream come true.

Hey mate! Have u tried tweeting your artworks to Ed Boon? Maybe it may grab some attention from NRS, maybe not, but its worth a try. It kinda kills me to see such wonderful work go unnoticed.:(
 
you would make a perfect concept artist for NRS, to be honest i never really liked what they did with the charactor designs in MK9, yours are way better, you need a break in the graphic industry if you dont already have one that is,
