I plan to when I get in shape. Which will be awhile lol. I want to cosplay Flynn from SMTIV.

Atlus HQ actually has actual costumes with working gauntlets (they just light up) and it's bad ass. That's what I want my first costume to be.




One day I'll cosplay, unfortunately, it just won't be any time soon. I was actually talking to Kara about it too and she thinks that cosplaying is for everyone regardless of race, weight and everything else in between and I'm actually with her on that. I actually think so too. But I personally want to look my best in costume.
 
I have been getting a lot a pressure to cosplay from rewinds but the seeds of doubt are rooted strongly in my mind. Mostly just fear of what other would think if they see me

I was originally wanting to do the MC from Soul Hackers simply because of the simplicity of his outfit (green jacket, tan pants and some goggles on his head) but I think doing the Samurai outfit for SMTIV would be a great way to get my name out there in the cosplay scene since I wouldn't go out in public with it looking like shit. When it comes to something that I personally made, I want it to be spot on or not shown off at all. So I have a high standard for myself. I know sewing is hard and takes a lot of time and work but if I put my mind to it I know that I can do it. That also applies to anyone who wants to cosplay.

I do know what you mean though Byrd. I think that since the cosplay scene has gotten pretty big the past few years, there is more people out there that hate on the costume and the person him/herself that cosplaying has basically become one big huge popularity contest and that's not how it should be. People are quick to point out flaws in costumes and how the person looks rather than supporting the costumer for their effort, so people don't dress up even though they want to.

Hell I want to, but I want to look good in the costume for myself and not other people. Having fun should be the main focus of costuming.
 
Cosplaying as Leon is too ****ing expensive so yeah, lol.

I've already done Frank West, Alan Wake (basic), and Android 17, so I'm pretty content with myself.

I really want to meet Ivy Doomkitty one day... and go as Frank West as an excuse to take so many pictures with her lol

I can't decide who's better between her and Su-wan. Su-wan has that amazing Ada and Carla cosplay with her sister, along with Jill+Rebecca, and an Ace Attorney cosplay.

But Ivy has the female Dr. Doom, Phoenix, Black Cat, and Ms. Marvel.

Su-Wan has a better face, but Ivy has dat bod.

And both of them got dem voices and dem awesome personalities. I've talked to both of them. I can't decide who's better :cry:

i was going to go as a dead osama bin laden with the bullet wound in the face and have one of the bane cosplayers do the classic back breaker to me for a photo but that wouldve caused way to much controversy so i nixed the idea.

Dude Cobra you only like her because she did the Gijoe cosplay lol. But for real tho she's also one of my favorite cosplayers too

Well to be fair, cosplaying isn't about being hot. That shit is just a bonus. It's about costume work and her costumes are fvcking amazing at the LEAST. Some of her costumes are god damn brilliantly made. Which gets me to this.

Might be hot, but if that isn't the most bland ass costume I've seen then I don't know what bland is because that costume might be made good, but it's got nothing going for it besides the person itself, which is not the point of cosplaying, which I've said before. Being hot is just a bonus.
